What does this mean? Im confused!!!!!!!!!?
What is saint gabriel archangel patron of?

I just a had a dream where i meet a man. I saw a glimpse of the side of his face and then I walked away in a room and started looking at the pictures. One was of a statue of michael angelo and the picture morphed into a person that I Identified as Saint gabriel and he told me that the man i saw/meet was the man of my life.

This makes no sense to me cause in real life im single and i have not meet anyone. The man i saw in my dream i have never seen nor meet. To be honest, he didnt seem like the type of man i would be attracted to.

What does this dream mean? Im lost? Im hoping that by knowing the patronage of saint Gabriel it would clear things up...help.

Gabriel is the angel of death, in Judaic tradition. It was from the Jewish Talmud (volume Sanhedrin, 95B) that the tradition of the angel of death being armed with a scythe originally came. He is also said to have been one of the angels that buried Moses after his death. It is also taught that Gabriel was the being that told Noah to gather the animals for the ark, as well as being the angel that prevented Abraham from slaying his son Isaac, and the one that wrestled Jacob. In short - he's sort of an all-purpose angel!

What your dream means is difficult to say, but Gabriel is known for announcing things on behalf of God. Perhaps it's just a message to let you know that you should be patient, and that the love of your life is yet to come.

Gabriel is an angel, not a "saint". The Roman Catholic Church has elevated men and angels to be the "patron saints" of everything from lost keys to computers, and the whole concept is another of their man-made doctrines and is not mentioned or supported Scripturally.

In fact, Scripture says just the opposite.

People who die and go to Heaven rest from their works, they don't keep working on behalf of those here on Earth.

Hebrews 4:9-10

9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.

10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

I would just write it off as a weird dream, and wouldn't worry about it.

Gabriel was an angel--an arch angel...not a saint. I'm not sure what answer you are looking for but if the Arch Angel Gabriel is coming to you in dreams, you had better start praying. Gabriel was a messenger sent directly from God----Blessings.

You keep viewing what he said in the past tense: "The man you saw/met was the man of your life"

He might mean that you'll meet that man in the future.

"To be honest, he didn't seem like the type of man I would be attracted to"

Looks aren't everything.

Remember that if it's the past tense, he could be talking about a man that was significant in your life that you didn't know about.

It doesn't necessarily represent your partner "didn't seem like the type of man I would be attracted to".

Remember, all of these answers are guesses. I'm not you, I can't delve into your subconcsious to give you the answer.

Dreams that have meaning to you might not mean anything to anyone else, because of the deep level of personal psyche involved.

You have an obsession with meeting the man of your dreams.

The Saint represents that you value your faith, and that somehow your faith will guide you to the right person.

You need to slow down, and just enjoy life, and dont settle for someone too quickly.

So you saw the same artistic interpretation of the rapture, (which has not actually occured so no one knows what it would look like) the same one that is used in every single form of media depicting said event, and you grew up watching and ilstening to religious material... ...And this somehow surprises you? Christians are so obsessed with death that im surprised you dream about anything else.

Dreams can mean many things.. it could mean that when you see the 'man of your dreams' you won't recognize him at first, and to be watchful and not overlook someone. It could also mean that you are looking for the wrong kind of men and you need to try someone else, not lowering your standards, but opening your eyes. It also could mean that you have been fixated on this lately, that you are yearning for someone (arn't we all?) Do you remember your moods durring the dream? How you felt? the temperature? The time of day?

dear friend as i have came to the conclusion i am definitely sure you are very much worried about your marriage and you have created tha image in your mind, and whenever you meet someone in regard to this you reject him due to certain reasons. i would like to suggest you that dont go for an IDEAL because there is no mr or miss perfect in this world. everyone has some defects and you have to compromise and ignore those defects so when you meet some try to find someone near your ideal and i am sure you will be relaxed then. wish you goodluck.

Don't discount it. Write down all the things you remember about the Guy because you might meet him and you will need to test him to assure yourself that he is the man of your life.
