Perhaps you could help me figure out whether or not the Bible is the "inspired word of God".

I had been a Christian up until about two years ago, but now I'm no longer a believer because God hasn't been there for me, and I'd really like some help from you guys to get me going either back towards Christianity or into another religion, like Neo-Pagan or an agnostic.

The Gnostics might interest you.
They do not believe the Bible is literal in the least.
They have many more scriptures that teach more of the views of Jesus.
They tend to agree with Buddhist on almost every point.
Buddhist seek enlightenment through Dharma (Nature kinda)
Gnostics seek enlightenment through knowing or Gnosis which is faith by experience.
How better to experience God than to love.
There are many paths to God no matter what you have heard.
Jesus the man sacrificed his identity to the Christ spirit.
As the Christ spirit, or “Word” which is the revelation of God he said no one comes to the father except by me.
You have the same spirit within you and so does everyone else so we are all paths to the Father.
The childish pledge of allegiance to Jesus that you were taught as being “Born again” is an overt lie.
All mystics of every faith know that you have let your ego die. This is truly what Jesus was talking about. Spiritual rebirth happens when you learn unconditional love.

I don’t blame you for leaving a cult that says a book is God. God is inside you. The book is good for inspiration. Consider the law was given before the Kings of Israel reigned. They fornicated; they had hundreds of wives and concubines. They were breaking the law but God said nothing to them until they hurt other people. There has always been variable morality with the God of the Bible because people even then determined what was right and wrong for themselves.

You do the same. Good luck on your quest for a reasonable faith.

I am going to ask you a question. What does it mean that God has not been with you? What happened 2 years ago that made you think God left you? Please do not get offended here, because I have been where you are. I looked back on a year or two of my Christian walk where I turned away from God, and was blaming God for not being there. Who is God to you? The creator, Savior, Lord. Or God only when He answers your requests. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, so when it seems that God is distant, guess who moved? US. Look back about 2 years and see what happened in your life to make you think that God is not there. What you need to do is keep believing, even when things appear like God is gone. I have a chronic illness that causes severe pain every moment of every day- During that year or 2 in my life, when I was struggling the most with my illness- mentally, not physically- I thought God had left me. It is me that left Him, because I was starting to believe how could a loving God allow my pain. Now my relationship is stronger than it has ever been. WHY? Not because God returned, but I did. If you can email , would love to talk more. God bless., Jesus is waiting with open arms for you , His precious child to return.

Too many people give up on God because bad times come their way. The fact is, we don't know if something is bad or good because we can't see the future.

Let me illustrate:
A bear is going through the woods and gets its paw caught in a trap. It growls loudly in pain. A hunter hears the growls, and find the bear and feels sorry for him. So the hunter decides to let the bear out. In order for the hunter to release the bear, he has to push the bear's paw further into the trap to release the spring tension, causing more pain to the bear. The bear can't understand the pain, and probably wants to kill the hunter, even though the hunter was helping.

I got this from The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel, who was a reporter that was gathering information to try to PROVE THAT CHRISTIANITY WAS WRONG. I think that book can help you with a lot of the questions you're asking yourself that seem to prove that there's no God, or that He's not loving, or imperfect, or not all-powerful.

If you would like I will send you a new Bible.
It will be " The New World Translation "
In modern English so you can understand whats being said rather than the old 1610 King James Version.

I will also send you a Bible aid so you know where to start and it will explain all the
scriptures that are parables, illustrations, the wild beast, and the first prophecy made by God to Satan at Genesis 3:15. absolutely free., no catches or obligation

I give them to people who are really looking for the truth on this site only.

Sincerely yours,

I think that like me, you are being tested. You are failing, like I did. I never lost my love for Jesus but I had a problem with God the creator. I couldn't understand why he made men the way they are. Then, my life turned around and I couldn't understand why he would help me after failing. Some people are tested and their faith can become greater afterward. Could be the test is actually a blessing, just doesn't seem like it at the time. Best of luck.

It took God 40 years to let the Israelites go into the promised land. Gods time is not our time. God has always been there for you, you just didn't waite, or you had some sin in your life. A sinner just waste his time to pray to God for anything except being sorry for his sins and asking for forgiveness. Due to the fact that the Old Testament has been around for thousands of years even before Jesus should be proof enough that it is the Word of God. Also all the for-told events that come to pass such as the birth and death of Jesus.

The inspired word of God? lets take a look at 2 Timothy 3:16

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,"

I know how frustrating it feels when God does not appear to be helping us the way we would like him to. But often it is through these times he is carrying us, and we dont even realise.

the very air you breathe and the days you are given to live in this world are alone a gift from him and his grace to you.

Jesus opens his arms to all who have slipt away, and is the God who will leave the 99 sheep in search for the 1, and carry it back in his loving arms to safety and protection.

If you don't wish to follow Christ that is your own personal decision.
But do you think it is logical to abandon what the bible teaches BECAUSE of some bad things have happened to you.??

Being a follower of Christ and believing in God doesn't guarantee a person from horrible things happening in their life..
That is just life in this imperfect system.

The Bible says that he doesn't test anyone , and is not to blame for the things that happen.
So it really is silly to abandon him because of what other people did.

If you would like to know what God really want from us then plz feel free to email me.

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,

“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”

The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”

It's Normal to look for other religions sometimes but you have to be careful with your choices.
DON'T EVER THINK ABOUT CHOOSING THE ISLAM WAY if you are looking for a peaceful religion.
the ISLAM is a political movement with a mask of religion that wants to conquer the world with violence.
you can choose any other peaceful religion in the world.
