I myself am a "head first" type of believer. I know others that are heart first type of folks. To me it is true that a person's heart will usually catch up with their head in their beliefs, and vice versa. In other words, once a person believes something in their heart, they will find and filter the evidence so that their intellectual beliefs will catch up with their emotional belief. And an intellectually based person's emotions will eventually catch up with their thought life.

Is this also true with a person's actions? Does a person's morality and character (their actions) also influence the way that they think and emote?

In other words, do your actions influence what belief systems you will attach yourself to? Does character influence what a person can or cannot believe?

Are all three, head heart and hands tied together? Do they necessarily follow one another in most people, or are they separate?

Well, first, I would have to say, my heart was pricked. Then I fought against it with everything I had. It wasn't until I gained knowledge and began to know God through his book, (and a lot of background checks into archaeology) that I finally became a believer. Slowly I began to change, when I saw just how small I was before such magnificence. I don't care what anyone says, ignorance, stupidity...I'm HAPPY! That is something few can achieve during their short life!

I had to really think about this one.

I think you have a belief initially and that results in an action. The action then can reinforce the belief. But I can't envision a situation where you would just act arbitrarily for no reason and then have that affect your beliefs. I think any initial action is based on a belief which is already there.

As far as head, hands and heart being tied together, that is not always the case. We can know in our hearts and head that something is wrong, but we can do it (hands) anyway.

Actions always condition thinking and emotions. No one can think their way into good acting but good acting always leads to good thinking and good emotions. Positive emotions [happiness] are the delightful side effect of useful behavior. However, if a person directly pursues positive emotions [happiness] as the goal, it will always elude them.

The Jewish system of Mitzvahs uses these concepts as the core of its behavior [and intellectual and emotional] modification. The Mitzvahs system has 613 categories of positive, useful behavior and if a Jew practices these 613 categories on a consistent basis, the Jew will have an intellectual and emotional epiphany.

Our own thinking i.e. state of mind leads us spiritually as well as physically.Suppose you are interested to push a table kept in your drawing room, you move your hands &legs in that direction and shift the table successfully.Your parts of the body followed tour mind/thinking.Another important working power of the soul is intellectual who decides whether the thought generated in mind must be implemented or not.Third power of spirit is his resolves/habits.which creates a driving force to do something.A physician treates a patient by first observing, taking note of the symptoms of the illness based on the knowledge he has, then running suitable type of thoughts in his mind to prescribe for that illness &then orders his hand to write the prescription/orders the mouth to speak about the illness to the patient. Now when another patient approaches to Dr,he repeats the task easily because it has become his habit/resolve due to the repeatation of the same treatment. So in this way he performs his job by resolves, intellect &mind.Same theory can be applied to understand how do we do any work by just following the voice of our inner consciousness.
