Not a single word in the new testament is jesus' writing, why wouldn't he write it himself if it is truely supposed to be the word of god, and he was actually a living man on this planet so he was physically able to write it himself.

Why did he have to die, get ressurected, and let humans write their own perception on the story, to let it get so blown out of proportion.

Monte54que : "Also the written accounts of others made it much more credible."

LOL @ written accounts by others (man) made it *much* more credible, than if god's son wrote it himself. What a load of nonsense.

Because god follows a pattern. He reveals his word to his prophets and they write it down. That is the way it has always been and it is a pattern that God continues to follow.
It was the same when Jesus was on the Earth, his disciples wrote down his teachings.

Besides the fact that I believe it is a stronger testimony if his disciples wrote it rather than Jesus. It would be weird to have him write, "Well today I spoke to some Pharisees and I had to set them straight. I told them.... " Just doesn’t work. The teachings are stronger when written by an observer. "In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." (Matthew 18:16)

It is also true that it would be difficult reading the Lord's word in the first person rather than the third person. Like above that doesn’t work.

Jesus wasn't just an ordinary man. If he was his death would have been meaningless. He was God's only begotten son, he was as it were God on the earth. He over came death and sin, and because of what he did we can repent and change and we can be forgiven through the Atonement of Christ. As a free gift to all, we will all be resurrected as Christ was.

It sounds like you do not necessarily believe. I guess that is OK, God has given us the freedom to choose and do what we will; however it does not mean the we will be able to choose the consequences of our choices.

My belief is that Jesus is the Christ and he came to Earth and he suffered the pains and sins of the world that we might live, if we only believe on him and follow his commandments and endure to the end. It is not an easy path, but I believe it is the right path.

He was busy DOING it so someone else could WRITE it.

Honestly, do you think that people would believe it any more or less if he HAD written it? No. There would just be all kinds of theories and studies trying to prove that is was a fake or that it was real and eventually, the real message would be lost. He knew that.

Here is the story in a nutshell: When Jesus died, he took the blame for all our sins. It would be like if you had a friend on death row for killing someone and you said to them. "I'll take the blame for the murder and die in your place" even though you were completely innocent. Jesus died and took responsibility for all our sin.
At that time, the only way for God to forgive sin was if that person gave a blood sacrifice (animal). Jesus did not give a blood sacrifice, so all that sin He took the blame for, would not be forgiven.
HOWEVER, Jesus was also the FINAL blood sacrifice. His blood was the sacrifice needed for all that sin to be forgiven. So when he died, God forgave ALL the sins of everyone, everywhere for all time. Now, a blood sacrifice is no longer needed for forgiveness. All that is needed is that you believe that you sin, that Jesus died for your sins and ask God to be part of your life.
Jesus had to be resurrected because 1. he promised he would be. 2. so that people would know that he WAS who he said he was. 3. so that he could ascend to heaven and be with God.

The bible is written by man but INSPIRED by God. The word inspired literally means "breathed". The writings of the bible were God's words "breathed" into the authors. Not interpreted by them.
The bible was written by over 40 authors, on three different continents, over 1500 years. It contains many different kinds of writing styles and has over 2500 prophecies. 2000 of which have come true without mistake. The probablility of that happening is less and 1 in 10 to the 2000th power (basically, impossible). No other book as been reproduced or translated as many times as it has. YET, the central message of it remains the same: God loves us and wants a relationship with us. That's it's plain and simple. When you really think about it, it's pretty amazing.
Some people say that if it's been copied so much, how can you be sure it's still accurate. I say, if you believe that God is really who He says He is; all powerful, all knowing, loving, just, merciful etc...then it is perfectly reasonable to believe that He would make sure that His word was protected.

The earliest records of Jesus are probably right in portraying him as an apocalyptic prophet who anticipated God would soon intervene in the course of history to overthrow the forces of evil and establish his good kingdom on Earth, and that people needed to repent in preparation for it.
The Gospels are our principal sources for knowing about the life and teachings of Jesus, but they are also major literary works in their own right, each with its own perspective on who Jesus was and why his life and death matter.
Jesus is portrayed individually in all the Gospels, including two Gospels that did not make it into the New Testament, the Gospels of Peter and Thomas.
Many people believe that the relationship between Paul and Jesus enabled Paul, through his writings, to transform the religion of Jesus into a religion about Jesus.
Modern scholars examining some New Testament books that claim Paul as their author have concluded that they are, in fact, pseudonymous.
Portions of the New Testament were included hundreds of years after the death of Christ.

Because if He had written it Himself, it would have only been one person's writings, and would immediately be suspect. Others have written of His actions and His words, and look at how many people refuse to believe, or mock the entire Bible. If he had written the New Testament Himself, people today would consider Him to be an ancient Baron Munchausen.

Also, people would worship the book, much as the Jews worshiped the brass snake in the Old Testament. Look at how many people worship the Shroud of Turin, purportedly to be Jesus' burial shroud.

Besides, if He did write a book, the Vatican would have snapped it up and would keep it locked in their vaults as they have many other ancient manuscripts. No one would ever see it.

I think others have answered your other questions here.

Jesus had a full time job just staying one step ahead of the Jewish high priests and Romans who were determined to end his influence, not to mention the amount of teaching he had to do in a very limited time frame. Also the written accounts of others made it much more credible....EVOLVING MONKEY- You missed journalism 101. Eye witness accounts are always an important criteria in determining what actually happened. If Jesus had written an auto-biography you'd be questioning the validity of the book seeing there were no first hand reports of the event. Besides, Jesus must have been correct in his decision not to record his own life. 2000 years later and most people in the world know his story.

There are four account that tell about Jesus' life, death, and resurrection.

You will find in John 8:2-11 that Jesus wrote; however, none of the writers documented what he wrote. It is clear that Jesus could write but he choose not to.

Jesus trained disciples who he asked to remain in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit. Jesus left before Pentecost. This means Jesus was not physically present.

Would you have believed him any more if he had written it himself?

What's so amazing about the Bible is that is WASN'T written by just one person. It was written by many different people from different time periods and areas of the world, most of whom never met or even knew of each other. And all of their writings are consistent, as if they were of one mind, because they were Spirit-led. That to me is a lot more credible than if one person had written all of it.

By the way, how could Jesus have written anything after the first four books? He had already ascended to heaven at that time.

Good question and a long discussion on this then just a simple answer.
Have you ever read the bible through yourself? By doing that it may help you understand why JC didn't write the NT.

The truth is that it was written before the close of the 1st century by those who either knew Christ personally, had encountered him, or were under the direction of those who were His disciples.

“Why didn’t Jesus just write the New Testament Himself? Why didn’t He just write everything down on paper and cut out the middle men?” In John, Jesus speaks to the Jewish leaders saying, “If I alone bear witness about myself, my testimony is not deemed true” (John 5:31).
We never believe what someone says about themselves when the content of their message is outside the realm of our normal experiences; they are considered to be either a liar or a lunatic.

Why did he die?
He was born to die. The OT tells us this.
The OT tells us that God appeared as a human being on several occasions. If Jesus wanted only to heal and teach, he could have simply appeared. But he did more: he became a human. Why? So he could die. To understand Jesus, we need to understand his death. His death is a crucial part of the gospel and something all Christians should know.

“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28). He came to give his life, to die, and his death would purchase salvation for others. This was the primary reason he came to earth. His blood was poured out for others (Matthew 26:28).

If you read about Abraham in OT, his willingness to follow God's command to sacrifice Isaac, his only son as an example of faith and obedience. God told him to stop and decided he would send his own son for sacrifice for our sins.
If you study the word of God you will know that it isn't blown out of proportion.
Good luck on your study of this!!!

What makes you think they are blown out of proportion?Matthew, Mark & John are the eyewitness accounts of Jesus on this earth. These books were written aprox. 30-60 years after Jesus died. You get more credibility if you are edified by others than if you toot your own horn.

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Joh 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
Joh 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
Joh 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
Joh 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
Joh 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Joh 1:15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

You read the verses I have given you above. It is clear that Jesus Christ is God and God is spirit. How can he write verses in the bible? He is not human like we are.

He became man through birth from Virgin Mary when he was sent by God to earth to save mankind from their sins and to let us know that there is God who love us very much that he give Jesus Christ, his only begotten son to us to be save.
Jesus Christ is not on a planet which you have stated but He is in heaven at the right hand of God, the Father. Read the bible so that you will come to know it.
