Right off the bat you claim to know the habits of "most clergy" and say that most do stray and twist scripture. I find the rest of your rant has lost credibility on that statement alone.
You cannot possibly find a better way to live your life than to live it within the will of God. He takes care of you, provides for you, nurtures you, guides you. He has recipes for your daily life and explains human suffering.
It Word IS the inspired Word of God. That said, there is no room for human error. You don't think for a moment that God can strike you dead for a thought? If the Bible portrayed anything less than what He prescribed, it would have been stricken. Much like the many books and manuscripts that were.
Study how the Bible was put together. It was very fascinating. Acknowledge that basis to better understand the very book you are reading. Further, you can't make decisions or lay claims to such as these without first understanding the entirety of the Bible itself. So much hangs on other parts of itself. It's beautifully done and flawless.

You must know your Scripture. Without it you cannot judge people. Don't at this point start saying 'but judge not' etc. This shows an ignorance, and misinterpretation of Scripture. First, YOU have to decide whether or not your church leader is a Christian. Many are not. Their sermons might sound good but do they believe Christ is God, resurrected from the dead, born of a virgin? Second, are they discipling Christians enabling them to mature in Christ? Again many Christian leaders do not. They are content to say that you are saved, preach safe, non-offensive sermons and leave you to it.

I am pagan, not of the christian faith. And a proud pagan at that. I have love for life and the spiritual path that i follow gives me great contentment and guidance.
I think that you are referring to the people who are maintaining that the bible may have been divinely inspired, but then translated and written by mere human beings, just like you and i.
As we both know, neither of us are perfect, so in that statement alone, it acknowledges room for human error.
And just so you know, the only grievance i have with the christian belief, is that they claim to be the only way and have no respect or tolerance of others spiritual or religious beliefs.

Some people take most of what the Bible says very literally. Others see the Bible as being largely symbolic with a deeper meaning. Sometimes a conflict arises between the two different points of view. One side insists that any search for a deeper meaning comes from a failure to believe what God plainly says. The other side claims that it is only by means of the symbolic interpretation that the Bible becomes meaningful and relevant for today.
And he spoke a parable to them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch? The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. And why behold you the speck that is in your brother's eye, but perceive not the beam that is in your own eye. Either how can you say to your brother, Brother, let me pull out the speck that is in your eye, when you yourself behold not the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, cast out first tThe blind who lead the blind, denote, in general, all those who are without the understanding of truth, and who yet pretend to teach truth, and who, therefore, are called blind; whilst they, who listen to and receive their instruction are also called blind, because they do not admit into their minds the light of truth; but specifically, the words apply to the Scribes and Pharisees of old, who, being void of the understanding of truth, taught things contrary to truth, or things false, and thus misled their hearers, who are, therefore, called blind, as being alike destitute of the understanding of truthhe beam out of your own eye, and then shall you see clearly to pull out the speck that is in your brother's eye. (Luke:39-42)

speak up and think for yourself , you stand 50% chance of going to hell .
seriously ask yourself . if now the rule is changed , show no love to jesus and you get to heaven and enjoy eternally , show outmost love for jesus and you get to spend time with him in hell for eternally , how many will still claim they love jesus so much will now still love him ?
sure , they will say ' i will ' and stuff . all these are reinforce by the fear of going to hell.
and as i said , number of these people is proportional to the boo. they jus dun wanna admit it .
