This is an excerpt from a Y/A user's answer:
------------------------
[God] does not want most people. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to us in John 16. And He said this:

John 6,44
"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day."

And then there is this:

Romans 9,18
"Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden."

So God doesn't want everybody. In fact, He sets some on this Earth to fall.
-------------------------

Got any thoughts about this, atheists?

Since I'm not christian those quotes mean no more than a lord of the rings excerpt.

It feels good to not be imprisoned by religion.

The scriptures that you're quoting shows that GOD reads the 'heart' of man and only HE knows who is truly searching for HIM. And when sincerity is found in that person GOD draws him/ her.
Jehovah loves all of his creation, but HE will not force or beg anyone to serve him HE doesn't try anybody with bad things. James 1: 13, 14, 15

And no, HE also does not set anyone up to fail, that is a personal choice.

Just think about this, the same God who loves righteousness also allows the sun to shine on the wicked as well, HE doesnot discriminate....men build walls to shut out God.
Jehovah provides for the needs of all sorts of men.

Here are some more passages from your book of worship, do you agree with these? Look them up and read them....

Judges 21:10-24 NLT
Obviously these women were repeatedly raped. These sick bastards killed and raped an entire town and then wanted more virgins, so they hid beside the road to kidnap and rape some more. How can anyone see this as anything but evil?

Numbers 31:7-18 NLT
Clearly Moses and God approves of rape of virgins.

Deuteronomy 20:10-14)
What kind of God approves of murder, rape, and slavery?

Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT
What kind of lunatic would make a rape victim marry her attacker? Answer: God.

When the world is viewed through the lens of mythology, the ordinary cause and effect that constitutes our reality is suspended. Then one can argue endlessly about how many Angels can dance on the head of a pin. This is a question in that category.

I do wish agnostics/atheists had a social organization akin to a church for social interaction. Reading books and going to atheist sites(I do like RichardDawkins.net) is rather lonely. Still I can't be a hypocrite and pretend to believe something I don't believe.

I'm concerned about god hardening those whom he wants to harden. Creepy.

When someone asked you "What would Jesus do?" was the first though something along the lines of "Well I suppose he'd go into a public online forum and post questions to atheists about his faith that have no relevance to them"?

Ah, I see you are subscribing to the philosophy "Who Would Jesus Bash?"

I'm sure you really hurt a bunch of atheist's feelings, too. They're all just sad and dejected on account of your caustic barbs. Oh the pain.

Oh and yes, that was sarcasm.

The Bible Is very clear on this....Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved...whosoever...would be anyone. We've all been given FREE WILL. It's up to us as to whom we choose to serve. God doesn't send anyone to hell.We send ourselves by who we've choosen to serve In this life on earth.....
