The fact that we are here is reason enough to believe in a God. Our very existence breaks one of the fundamental rules of science in that matter cannot be created nor destroyed. The matter that makes up the universe had to come from somewhere. Where that matter came from is one of the questions that science cannot answer. If there was no creator then nothing would exist. Matter cannot create itself. As far as the Bible goes you are correct in that we weren't there. That is why you have to have faith. If you believe in the Christian God then you have to believe that the Bible is divinely inspired and therefore every word it true.

You have already rejected the answer of Faith based on your "opinion" of what faith is and is not. Perhaps faith is not fact to you because you have none.

God has made himself known to those who chose to open their minds and hearts to him and build faith through trust in our Lord Jesus Christ. Have you done so? If not then you are as a person who says the salad bar is not fact but only a belief because if it were fact then you would have a salad in front of you as you sit to dine, yet you didn't take the initiative to actually visit the salad bar. Meanwhile, those around you are eating salad telling you to help yourself to some salad, yet you would rather sit there hungry and argue about it.

Believe that the word of God is true because God is Truth, and Love.

It appears that you do not accept that Faith exists. This is typical for most Atheists and the main reason most of you are in denial of your creator. Our Lord teaches that he who has some, more shall be given, but he who has none, even what he does have will be taken away. Apply this to faith and you will find that those who apply faith, build more faith and those who reject faith, end up asking questions like yours.

The parable of the three servants who were given equal amounts of money for a certain amount of time to invest or otherwise keep for the master is very much on point to your question. If you seek understanding in regard to faith, then you must apply the little faith you have.

You can start by listening to the oompa loompas if you aren't comfortable hearing it from the word of God in your Bible.

Your edits and comments don't apply to my answer now do they? So WHAT SAY YOU?

Hey man, I think one word answers both questions: faith. While we cannot scientifically prove there is a God, we can watch the sun rise each morning or look into the eyes of a child or feel the wind across our face. There may be some (many?) who believe the Bible is an absolute word of God, but some (many?) recognize that it is not a historically factual work, but rather a series of stories based on evens and teachings that happened. Whether, and to what extent, you believe or not is up to you. But in accepting Christ as your savior there really is very little to lose if God turns out to be a fable, but so very much to gain if after your death you find yourself standing in front of a Jesus who is curious about the choices you made in your life. Good luck, and God bless!

explain Noah's Ark that was found on Mt Ararat...if you don't believe that the Bible is true...i think you should definitely read the Bible for yourself before you start making these accusations...how about the rainbows in the sky and how it is God's promise to never flood the whole entire earth again it was the promise God gave to Noah after the great Flood which created all the fossils in the ground that they find now

I have seen facts that point to God in my own experience and learning. You might draw different conclusions from them, but they're still facts.

Because I believe in God (that belief being based on fact), this belief extends to the Bible, which I believe to be His word because of its internal structual consitancy and design, which I can see with my own eyes and judge to be beyond any human's creative ability.

They are so easy though, are you sure?

Okay,
I know there is a God because God revealed Himself to me through the Holy Spirit. I know that He does this because at a later time I read John 16. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to be in the world.

That's the first one.

Now the second:
The Holy Spirit also was said by Jesus to do this:
John 16
7 But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; 10 in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

Jesus told it like it is. And I am here telling you that He delivered on His promise. Many won't believe what I am saying is true, but Jesus told me that they wouldn't. He told me that too.

So now you can take back your words. A Christian DID answer those questions back to back, and I am telling you the true answers to those questions.

First question, we can't....if we could there wouldn't be people like you questioning us.

Second, it's not 100% true. Throughout the years it has been rewritten and incorrectly translated. We cannot be sure what is in there now that wasn't in there a few thousand years ago, and vice versa!

It's faith...I know most of the stuff in the bible is true because it hasn't changed. The virgin birth, life and death, ressurection...the main things.

I know and can now prove that The Bible is a science book written by a scientist that we call "God". Got any more questions us Christians can't answer?

Okay, you can't see air. So you are required to breath without it. You can't tell us that faith is not fact, just as you would not tell someone that they need to find something else to breath. We live faith. You can't tell us to go without what we live on. We shouldn't have to prove it. Plus, you weren't there in the beginning. How do you know it's not true??
