Here's what I did, ask an older student that doesn't have a car to apply for a parking pass and agree to give him/her a ride to and from school everyday.

Noting. If the rules stipulate you are not allowed then you are not allowed.
Many campus's do not allow freshman driving, for a multitude of reason. The first and foremost is responsibility. They from the get go- want the lower classmen to understand that as "adults" they are responsible like classmen before them for getting themselves to and from classes in a timely and responsible manner.
Secondly- they have to make sure there is adequate parking available for staffers as well as students and it's a "earned" liberty.
Like your classmen before you you must putin your time to earn the privilage to drive to and fro.
The only exception to the driving rule might be if there is a physical reason you are in "need" to bring a car. And that would be something you'd need to take up with student counselors.
Public transportation, car pooling with upper classmen, or park and go lots seems to be all thats of option for you.
Best of- besides- it's better for your health to walk a few times every day- you'll save on gas and insurance, and it's greenr for the planet.

Why would you want a car at school your freshman year? It will ruin your college experience. The best colleges for campus life are the ones where people don't bring cars to school.

when they say you're not allowed to bring your car, that means your not allowed to park it on campus. If you really insist on having a car on your first semester there, then find a garage or find a house close to campus that is willing to rent out their parking garage/driveway for you to park in.
If, however you really need to park on campus, then you better start being really friendly with school staff!! Other than that, you should be able to get spot somewhere, if you're willing to pay the price!

Nothing you can do but try to find a nearby public parking lot or a private one you can pay to keep your car at. SUNY's have no exceptions to this rule so you must look off campus.

Obviously the school has a policy in place. If you are a freshman, and they don't allow freshmen to bring their cars, you're out of luck. Go to another school if you don't like it.

If you have no other way to get to school (ie: school bus or parent) you could take your case to the Board of Education and ask them to make an exception since you have no other means of transportation. If you plead a strong enough case and appeal to them they MIGHT allow you to drive your car to school. Don't try to lie though, because they will do an investigation to obtain proof of everything you say. Good luck, school buses suck!

I suppose you could rent garage space near the campus. Are you allowed to live off campus? A lot of college's will not allow freshman to do that. good luck. Study hard.

it incredibly is incredibly a controversy of not sufficient parking. At my college, call for for parking surpassed furnish by 350%(!). Our beginners have been required to outlive campus, so that they could not have vehicles with the belief of freeing up area for upperclassmen and commuters. some human beings offered spots in inner maximum plenty off campus so that they could convey their vehicles, yet they have been costly (between $50-250/month, in West Virginia).

no one can stop you from bringing your car it is your property however they can keep you from bringing it on campus. so if you can find a place to store/park it off campus. check the school rules cause if it has a dorm contract you may not be able to even have it off campus without eviction from the dorm and or school good luck
