All depends on how the attack happened, and why have you allowed your dog outside the fence knowing that their are dogs down the road that attack and seriously injure. You are also to blame as your dog is your responsibility, a fence is there to keep your pet in and others out. The responsibility lies with both parties as you are both liable for letting your dogs roam in the street without a leash.
I really feel for you on the loss of your pet, but hopefully now you know why there are bounderies and fences.

This is a hard question to answer because according to the law, all dogs must be contained in the yard of their masters. There's no way of determining who attacked who first. Your dog may have died, but without any witnesses, it's hard. Even though those dogs are mean doesn't necessarily mean they started it. I saw a case much like this on Judge Mathis or something and because there was a witness (it was a complete stranger) and because the attacking dog got into their yard, the attacking dog's owner paid the bills, but this is not the case.

Take the dog to a vet immediately and have him do a necropsy to find cause. How do you expect people here to telly ou what your dog died of without seeing the dog before during or after the problem. I can tell you that tremors and such are usually the result of brain or nerve damage. Maggots only eat dead flesh. If you watch any knowledge programs you will see that maggots (Sterile ones) are used to clean woulds caused by serious infection, skin graft, gangrene and such. Maggots will not attack living flesh. Flies will be attracted to infections, lay eggs because of the rotting flesh, and maggots will hatch. You likely had an infection causing blood poisoning or it was a nerve related death. TAKE HIM TO A VET. That is the only accurate answer you will get. Everything else, including this, is just guessing.

first i'm very sorry for your loss. this will depend on several things. mainly the laws in your area. also was your dog inside a fenced in yard or controlled on a leash? were the other dog's on leashes as well? do you know who the owners are of the other dogs? has a police report been filed?
as for who is responsible for the dr's bills, no matter the outcome you are. you are to pay your vet for the services done, and then you will need to hire an attorney to take the owner of the other dogs to court to be reimbursed. but many facts will be taken into consideration before judgement is made.

The owners of the other dogs should pay the bill, it sounds like there dogs are not so friendly and could be very harmful to innoccent people and animals around the place

It depends on what the laws are where you live , We have leash laws. The unleashed dog is always liable here. If both dogs are off leash, both owners are equally liable. Such as they pay half your vet bills, you pay half there vet bills. Or you both are on your own on this one. The law may be different where you live.

If your dog was out of your yard, and her dog was out of her yard, she is responsible. If the dog attack happened on public property or neutral ground (the street), she is at fault. If this did not happen in either of your yards or property, she is FULLY responsible and she should pay any and all medical bills. She is responsible for your dog's death and you can sue her for medical bills and pain and suffering as a result of your dog's death. She is liable and pays the bill. Hope that helps.

If they attack people they are considered vicious animals. Dog pound with them, also bills to owner.
