Let him know that you are 100% there in support of him. He is probably scared to death - don't push him to discuss & don't try to anticipate how he is going to react. Just be a friend to him - listen a whole lot & you will be able to figure out what he needs. I am so sorry that he is having to go through this - I am praying that they caught it early and are able to kick it quickly into remission for a really, really long time (like forever). In the old days, cancer was a certain death sentence. Things have changed and there are so many new advances - there are a lot of cancer "survivors" out there. Hopefully he will join them - I sure hope so.

Just let him know you're thee for him, if he needs to talk or anything, but don't push him to because most people don't like it when the cancer becomes such a main part of what people see in them. Also, make sure your emotional needs are being met, because it can be very hard to see someone you love dealing with medical problems.
Keep in mind that there are several different types and stages of leukemia, and most can be treated and cured these days. One type [CML] has a medication that has been very effective, so many people don't even need to go through high-dose chemo or radiation for it.

First, decide how much you are prepared to accept and deal with.
Don't make any promices you aren't prepared to carry out.
If you are prepared to deal with the worst, then let him take the lead, after you have told him this.
Some people need to have someone to discuss the blackest thoughts, others need someone to help them live each day to the full, others need someone to pretend nothing is wrong.
I have been there with a friend and sometimes lover who appreciated that I accepted he was facing death, when everyone in his family were in denial! And I didn't meet him until he had lived 2 years past the time the Dr's gave him!!
He is still going strong 6 years further down the track! So NEVER give up hope. And remember, any one of us could be killed in an accident tomorrow.

Hi, I'm sorry about it but it doesn't matter even if he is suffering the way to help is that do not lose hope just continue with your heart to love him if you have to stop love to him he may end to lose him, you may known what God has plan to you
