I'm a sinner just like everyone else. I have broken the ten commandments, I have disobeyed God, I have ignored what God wanted to do with my life, I continue to make the same mistake and never seem to learn it and I also continue to sin and will continue to sin for the rest of my life. I am no better than anyone else. So who am I to judge others? Is there anyone better, really? Are we not all sinners? If so, then why can't most Christians accept that? Accept people for who they are and love them as much as you love yourself. If our purpose in life is to reach out to others, aren’t we supposed to love them too? Christians are no better than anyone else. So why do I come across so many Christians who are judgmental? I will admit myself, I have judged others. I also felt convicted for judging and I'm trying to love everyone no matter who they are or what they do. It doesn't matter if someone is gay or a rapist. It's said in the Bible that we should love everyone.

So my real question is, Christians, are you doing what you should be doing? And what do you think should be done?

Amen to that, chieko! We do fall short of the glory of God, but are we even trying in the first place?

And Lana, I am a Christian myself and God has shown many things that were in my heart that was not good. I felt really convicted with the things that I did. I just have seen many Christians struggling the same as I am. I just hope you understand that.

For you are not alone darling I am also a Christian and no
we should not go around passing our judgment on others
and hurting those we truly love
God still loves us as we are in his sight and not the way man
see's us to be
Our role in this world as Christians is loving others with a
kind and gentle heart and leave the judging to God

There is no person that is "better" than anyone else.
But what you are proposing is that nobody holds anyone accountable for anything. Just because you sin, doesn't mean you shouldn't point out something in someone else's life.
The bible tells us that we are to confess our sins to one another. Why do you think God wants us to do that? So we can hold each other accountable. So if we have struggle with a particular sin and we see someone else having the same problem, we can offer prayer and support.
People often mistaken believe someone is being "judgemental" when they point out an area of weakness is their life. They are not being judgemental. They are holding you accountable for your actions. You only feel "judged" because of your own guilt.
I hear "Christians are too judgemental. They are hypocrites. " all the time. What is ususally going on is that a Christian person has stood firm in their beliefs and won't say "it's okay" to believe differently than them. That's not being judgemental. That's standing up for what you believe. Now, if they say "this is what I believe and the rest of you who don't believe are rotten people and I can't be bothered with you", then THAT is being judgemental.
Loving someone means seeing them through God's eyes. That is, that everyone has value, regardless of their sin. But that doesn't mean you accept their actions or say "it's okay". That isn't love.
Hand in hand with love is respect. ALL people, regardless of who they are or what they do or have done, deserve respect. Even if they do not respect others. THAT is looking at people like God does and THAT is what real love is.

I believe every word in the Bible. However, I do not consider myself a Christian at this time for the very reasons you stated.
We are human and will sin because that is the nature of man. However, Christians are to strive to be Christ-like. I will not be a "Sunday" Christian, who praises God one day and does not act like a Christian all the time. I can ask for forgiveness everynight- but in my heart- if I no I am continue to commit the same sins the next day- on purpose- then I have not really been forgiven. There is still sinful intentions in my mind and heart. So why ask for forgiveness if I know I am going to continue to sin already---like continue in affair when married, lie to cover up affair, i.e. Like I said, I completely believe in God, but I will not be a hypocrite and say I am a Christian at this time in my life. I know I need to get my life together, but it is people just like me---but call themselves Christians that give religion a bad name.

Freely you have received, freely give.
It is good to be humble. But be careful not to take to much pride in your humility...
You are not better than anyone...not even those judgmental Christians you are so worried about.
If you see me walking around with a big hole in the back of my skirt, I trust you would tell me...so that I might go home and change my clothes.
If you see me walking around in sin, I would hope you would open my eyes, so that I might repent and turn from my sin, so that God might bless me.
I would hope that you would do this in a gentle, kind, and loving way...but I pray that, if I am in peril of losing my eternal soul, that you will not simply walk by me, with your humble eyes averted, ashamed that you might be "judging" me.
What if there is no Good Samaritan headed up the road behind you?????

I think the problem lies in us trying to dwell in the non-essentials, things like, people's differences
or what we want others to be; and sometimes we force others to behave, think and say what we do.
Ive been noticing that the Bible's Jesus didn't care about who or what a person is. What mattered to him was for us to forget the non-essentials and just simply love one another.
I read that he loved everyone-hung out with sinners,-Zach's, or prostitutes like Magdalene and even talked to a woman who was; at their time were forbidden to talk to-(that's racism right there) He broke through all that There was even an account of him taking the kid's side when his followers were excluding them from adult discourse.
Sure he 'despised' the high priests with rage and passion because he could see they were hypocrites but in that example, he was talking about the very offense they were committing and was not attacking them as persons.
If I were to urge you friends, I'd rather copy him in that sense than talk about legalities and differences in our religions, practices and beliefs.

As Christians we are to love one another, but we are to show that love be telling the truth. Some Christians do cross the line though. Jesus said that before we judge someone for the "twig" of sin in someone's life we are to get rid of the "log" in our life. But this also means that we warn people that their decisions in life can effect their eternity. Yes, we are all sinners, but that doesn't mean we sit idle while someone dies without Christ

Rejoice! The Lord has come, let Earth receive her King!
The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.
I do not think of myself more highly than I ought, but rather think of myself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given me.
In the same way, I count myself dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

his rightousness is there if you pray for it. So you can be perfect. You can not be perfect on your own, but by the power of the holy spirit that will say you are perfect......get God to call you perfect in his eyes. That is the trick to it. Hosea 10:12.
matthew 5:48. Never preach that you have to sin. For a man can be perfect, preach like Jesus does one day, and instruct others to be perfect.

You are so right in saying we all sinned, and that we are all in the same boat. But we must all descriminate against sin. Love the sinner indeed, but do not condone sin. We should welcome everyone into our church, but not for them to entice the fellowship into sin. Many people see an afront to their sin as an afront to them personally. We must show mercy and humility when dealing with non believers. Mercy because we too were forgiven much and humility because we did nothing to deserve grace, it was freely given. So offer it freely to everyone you know. "repent and follow me"

Christians wake up and smell the coffee.
Have you not read, GOD himself grieved, at one point,
because man was weak. If you sin, CHRIST is your advocate, have you not read? And Be extra careful,
my dear brothers and sisters, who you extend words of
comfort. Be extremely careful. on this manner.
I ask you this question, Let say some one has murdered,
one of your family, and all of you are grieving, and if soul
of the murdered one stands before CHRIST caring for vengeance, well how will Heaven look upon me, If I go
to murderer , to bring words of salvation, to him?
How would you feel, ? Do learn the Laws of GOD
so you do not provoke GOD, and CHRIST to anger.
Be careful what people you go and preach salvation.
be extremely careful. my dear Friends.
