Unless your gear is not grounded you might be getting a static discharge.

Hi. All speaker cables have the potential to sound different but a lot of people in the home theater forum say the difference is inaudible.I disagree with them.Speaker cable can sound different particulally if you have high end equipment. What is the reason for changing your existing cable ? Do you want to see if another brand of cable will improve your sound ? But the last part of your question says "once i remove it and put it back again" suggests that you are removing the original cable and putting it back again. So i am not sure what you mean.
Now as to your question of cable burn in ,this is just an outright misunderstanding of electronics. When a cable is burned in ,it is actually ruined. No cable should be used for more than a few hours,as the stresses on the insulation and the agitation of the copper molecules cause permanent changes to the structure of the cable . Is this why you want new cables the old ones are damaged? The characteristics of the insulation change very subtly as the cable is stressed by signal voltages, and this has an as yet unexplained effect on the stereo imaging, and in particular causes veiling of the high frequences and a loss of presence in the upper midrange. In extreme cases the bass also suffers ,with the lower registers lacking speed and power.

All the above defects are rectified by substitution of a new set of cables .The brilliance is restored and the finer details are brought back into startling realism. So whatever you do, DO NOT BURN IN YOUR CABLES,they will be permanently damaged.
