What is the maximum hours and what is the minimum?

Does it depend on the company?

I've read that forty hours and above is considered full-time (but I haven't really looked into this).

I'm going to be a freshman in college (full-time student) and I just got a job. It's in the airport and I only have two other coworkers. They want me to work for four days, eight hours every week. That comes to 32 hours. Do you think that's too much for a full-time student?

I don't think I'll be able to handle that.

I think it actually depends on the company..
Usually under 30 hours is part time and over 30 is full time.

It may vary from employer to employer that offer benefits to their employees. You should ask the airport what their hours are for full time. No one can tell you if it is too much except for you. You should know what kind of schedule you can handle..

Good luck and Congrats on the new job.

Each company defines full-time for benefit purposes - some are 32 and above, some are 40, and some might have other limits.

32 hours a week sounds like a lot for a college freshman - won't ieave you much time for studying.

Good luck
