Yes we are animals. Of course, I meant to say "other" animals.

Elephants show great reverence for the dead...
They hide Elephant bones, hence the Elephant's Graveyard myth. I guess this is a kind of proto-religion...
I think the Great Apes, esp. Bonobos also have the beginnings of religious abstraction.

ps. Oh bugger,,, Looks like I'm to only dope who tried to answer this as a serious question! Sorry folks!

I think art and religion (or better yet, spirituality) are what sets man apart from the other animals.

Yes. My next-door neighbor's dog worships me. Whenever he sees me, he goes crazy, speaking in dog-tongues, doing religous spirit dances, and generally going into religious ecstasy. He jerks at the leash whenever they pass my house with him, and he even licks my car door.

He's constantly running away from home and scratching at my back door or barking to get into my front door.

He goes to the door or window expectantly every night when it is time for me to come home, and cries unconsolably when I get out of my car and go into my house without coming over to see him. Unless, of course he can sneak out to come over and beg to come in . . .

Many of our pets seem to worship humans or other animals in one way or another. Sometimes they're incredibly creative about it. I think it's cute!

No, you need just slightly more intelligence to practice religion. First comes hitting stones together, then religion immediately follows.

All monkeys are on year long vacations, every year.
No religion required.

I think my cat is in a cult. He worships a 25 lb. bag of Kitty Chow.

Animals depend on us - man - to be good and righteous which we fail at miserably. How sad for us?

All animals are atheists.

Which I guess means all animals are going to hell?

Repent and turn away from your sins. Accept the Lord Jesus Christ! Fear God and keep His commandments!

To God be the Glory! Forever and ever! Amen!
