You are going to make faster progress and learn less bad habits if you get yourself a teacher of course, and you ought to remember that regardless of the quality of the school lessons, you will get credit for taking them and it will put you together with a group of guitar players. There use to be a lot more, try some of these and see, some give you a little peek into their teachings, but most want you to buy a CD or DVD or book, by the way if you taught guitar would you give lessons for free, I doubt it, neither would I, well give these a look :

Just get onto youtube.com and type in guitar lessons. There's thousands of choices. Many people have whole lesseon arrangements and add lessons every week.
