Volunteer at something related to your career. Maybe get some temp work. Finding a job is urgent if you wait much longer your education will be too old and it will look funny on the resume.
Set up your work day with a schedule so you know when it is time to make cold calls or email resumes and write cover letters or search websites, give yourself timed breaks not all the time in the world for drinking coffee or watching TV. Start classes for your masters if you are ever going to so you can put you are working on your masters on your resume.

Since you graduated from college, you might qualify to be a substitute teacher in your area, so you could do that during the day starting in a few weeks (districts hire their own subs usually...) There's lots of books on teaching at bookstores and if it's a planned abscense, all you might have to do is read and do a lesson plan. And get paid about $80-100 a day too.

Good God do I remember those days! I went to the library a lot, baked and gained about 20 pounds (which I still have none the less). I finally got so desperate I went to walmart and wasted 9 months before finding a decent job. Unfortunately this one's only seasonal and in a month I'm screwed again!

Well, it's my theory that nodoby's hiring at this time.
I've been in your predicament far, too long, myself.
But being you're married, do you really need a job or want one?

Temp service, work today-paid today...it'll break up the monotony, and you might make some contacts.

The eternal question. I dunno, experiment with stuff you've never experienced before. Unless you did all your experimenting in college. In that case read a book or work out or something.
