I'm 32 weeks preg, and my baby is laying right on my syatic nerve! It's very painful, and i can't get any reliefe! I use to be able to just move around and he would move over. But know he is on it all the time......and I can barley walk at this point from the pain. I talked to my doc and they said there was nothing they could do for me. He suggested swimming, or a massage. I would love any suggestions!

Try a body pillow to distribute nyour weight evenly. I still have the problem and my daughter's four. Always try to stay on your side. Go to your lower back on the side that hurts the mosst, right above your tailbone. Rub back and forth and up and down. It was the only relief I could get at all. Best of luck to ya, oh yeah, a chirpractor really helped me too. I told my OB I had one, and they told me by all means. Make sure you get consent though. Mine did it without a consent form from the Ob, but some won't.

Yes I have that problem to and I am only 18 weeks... I think someone suggested this but Ask your Dr. about giving you a referral to a Chiro that work with Pregnant Patients. I have not yet had to do this BUT I have done alot of research online and there are alot of women that sware by the chiropractors.. SO it is worth the try.

Also have you tried Ice.. That helps me.. My doctor also said to take Tylenol but that basically just lessons the pain a little bit. Also try lying on the opposite side from the pain and put a thick pillow under your leg. Unfortnatley these don't always work for me either. But Good luck and I really hope you find something that helps.. I know you must be miserable.

No promises BUT lay flat on your back on your bed. I know you're not suppose to stay on your back for an extended period of time while you're far enough into your pregnancy but this is brief. Pick a leg and pull it as close to your body as you can, so you are comfortable, don't strain or make yourself uncomfortable. Hold for about 15 seconds then release. Go back and forth between both legs for a minute or two. Try this a few times a day. My daughter did the same thing and this helped a lot.

I have the same problem, but with my femoral nerve. It makes my leg go completely numb and tingily. Dr said to try massage, or just don't walk (like thats an option) Luckily I have only 8 weeks of torture left!!!

You might want to see a chiropractor, which is completely safe during pregnancy. He or she might be able to help alleviate the stress being put on the nerve somehow. Don't lay on your back, either, lay on your left side. Good luck!
