I am looking for a new car and would like a little help. I would like some information and opinions on the 3 cars I am considering. I am considering a Ford Mustang 96-02 models, the Ford Probe, and a Honda Civic from the 95-04 models. I would like information conserning gas mileage and overall quality of the cars. Insurance is not an issue as I have gotten quotes on all these cars and they meet budget costs. Any help is appreciated.

First of all - not a fan of the Probe - cross that off the list.

Second, as far as quality, my experience has been Honda has far and away better quality and reliability over Ford.

Third, not sure about the gas mileage numbers, but I am fairly certain the Civic gets better mileage than the Mustang.

Buy a Honda Civic! They have great gas mileage and the quality is a whole lot better then those American cars.

Now a days. With gas prices. id defiantly go with a civic, They are amazing on gas, and you would be surprised how quick they are. Also have a great resale value.

Mustangs are beasts, get horrible gass mileage and are also made like ****. Expect to buy parts for it frequently (alternator, pumps, clutches, exc.)

Ford probe is OK, not a fan of it at all. But is better than a stang.

PS: i dont liek amaerican made cars. they are made for quanity and quality.

If you want gas mileage go with the probe. American cars arent made in bulk quantitys like that numbnut said. The imports are. Why do you think they are selling them so cheap? They build them cheap and sell cheap trying to outsell american companys and topping their cheap prices off with bullcrap reliability stats. I would run that probe with any import on reliability. Go to maintinence and repair and ask the people who got suckered into buying their so called reliable import why they are having so many problems with their Brand New ! and older cars.
