I believe that if any person on this earth hasn't been given the opportunity to know Jesus, he or she is not accountable. I think that Jesus will make himself known to these people, even if it has to be after they take their last breath, so that they will know the truth and be able to rejoice in his presence. Someone here said that these people would be like innocent children - this is correct.

Response to your additional details: Yes, that was their chance.

I will try and answer this as sensitive as I can- however I must answer truthfully as well.
Satan believes in Jesus, so belief alone does not necessarily make you a Christian. I believed in Jesus all my life, but until I admitted I was a sinner, and Christ was the only Savior, I was not a Christian.
All over the Word of God, He says, "You cannot have any other god before you.' The Israelites in the OT thought it would be a good idea to worship God and "all the other gods or the surrounding areas" just to play it safe. God was not pleased!!

However about the Pastor that chased them out of the church, that is not what Christ would do. HE spent time with those who were sinners, and not living according the laws of the Pharisees. Granted the Pastor should tell them, they cannot serve God and something else. People who accept Christ as their only way to heaven, goes to heaven, those who don't will not. I know that this will seem harsh, however look at it in the opposite way, God loves us so much that He wants us to have this personal relationship with us, and if I thought it was that harsh, i would not have believed.

I think chasing anyone out of a church is a horrible thing to do and is far worse then being an atheist. I think I lot of people are confused when it comes to religion so they try and explore all different kinds of religions and some people take pieces of different religions. I think that if they believe in God then they are better then being atheists.

I often wonder about people in remote areas as well. I don't think its fair that they should be sent to hell for never being taught about God. But at the same time I don't know if they would go to heaven either. I try to remember that God is all knowing and he can tell how these indigenous people would have lived their lives had they known and would base their judgment on that.

There is not one ear, that hasn't heard about Jesus, today. That wasn't true even 30 years ago but the fact is, everyone has been given access to the truth.

Someone who thinks they can mix religion with Christianity is no worse or better than an atheist. Just that if they come into the church and the church leaders know what they are doing, they are to talk to that person about leaving these other beliefs and if they won't, they must leave.

The Christian fellowship is not the place to allow false gods, regardless of which god. The church is accountable to Jesus and His followers, not to false gods and there is a fine, but very visible line.

I can’t call myself Buddhist and a Jew at the same time, nor a Muslim and an atheist. I cannot serve two masters. If I am a Buddhist, I am a Buddhist and nothing else. If I am a Jew, I am a Jew and nothing else. If I am Christian, I am Christian and nothing else.

The Catholic Church teaches that people are judged by their heart. If someone never heard of Jesus because they lived in a remote place and died, we leave them in God’s mercy. We do not believe that they will go to hell because they didn’t know Jesus. It wasn’t their fault that they never heard of Him so they cannot be blamed for that. We simply pray for them and ask God to have mercy on them.

God bless.

If you're a buddhist and you say you believe in Jesus and still continue to be a buddhist you have believed in vain.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Deny your false religion and repent and turn away from your sins. Accept what Jesus did for you in the cross of calvary. Follow His commandments.

For the tribes and people in remote places----the reason why there are missionaries who go to these places is to spread the word of God.

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Another sign that the world will end is when the word of God has been preached all over the world, even in the most remote corners of the earth.

To God be the Glory! Forever and ever! Amen!

Well church is gods house no one should ever be kicked out or told their kind isnt welcome in the end god will decied what religion is best and who is going to heaven and hell but on the other hand mormons have been around since ever and christians havent so maybe mormon is the right religion god only knows that answer but one thing about it is we all believe in the same thing just different shapes and colors of "what" god looks like. We all should just live everyday to the fullest and remember it doesnt matter what religion you are god will remember what good you did and what bad you did while on earth but then again we could all just be believing in something thats not really there just something someone made up to make people think someone is always watching them and knows their every move so I guess its just what you believe in and what you believe is the right religion and maybe there is no hell only heaven theres many different things someone could say and I dont believe someone that speaks different language is gonna go to hell cause English wasnt the original language so its like saying we are going to hell...

As far as what I think about a person who prays to the goddess of mercy and also believes in Jesus. Not important. What is important is what God thinks. God says you can not worship two Gods. The bible also tells us that Satan and the demons BELIEVE in Jesus, they don't worship him though. Your heart must be in it, otherwise it is meaningless and fake. As God said, you can not worship two Gods, if you are worshipping a goddess in addition, then you are not right with God.

Someone who does this is not better nor worse than an Atheist, nor are they better of worse than a Christian. The thing that a Christian has that an Atheist or believer in some other belief doesn't have, is forgiveness. That forgiveness which is given by the grace (grace is receiving something you do not deserve) of Jesus and through his sacrafice for us as a GIFT to us if we accept it and repent and ask.

As for those in a situation (tribal, etc.) that would seem to not have heard the Gospel....... God says in the Bible that all will have been given the opportunity. He will communicate it in a way that we might not understand or know of. Grace is Jesus' to give to whom he wishes to give it to. Like with small children, my belief is that they are not accountable by means of lack of understanding due to their mental ability. I further believe that they go directly to Jesus upon earthly death by his GRACE which is his to give. His GRACE is the only way to the father in heaven, and he gives it, I believe, at his discretion in situations as with Children or mentaly impaired or maybe even like tribal like people. Having said that, one must keep in mind and believe, because God says it, that all will have the opportunity to hear one way or another. God does not lie.

Buddism in no way conflicts with Christian teachings because it is a philosophy, NOT a religion. Buddha is not considered to be a god, so the commandment, "Thou shalt take no other gods before me" does NOT apply. Many Buddhist teachings parallel those of Christianity. You can be a follower of Buddhism and still believe that Jesus was the son of God and the savior of the world.

So, what's the problem? And what does it have to do with atheism? I think you're just looking for a reason to exclude others. Christ taught compassion and tolerance, and you're not exactly living up to his example. "Judge not lest ye be judged," my friend.

God would never punish someone who doesn't know. In the Bible it explains that any child that dies goes directly to heaven. Obviously they don't have any 'beliefs' but one someone reaches the age of accountability, and they know what the truth is and chooses otherwise, you might not get to go to heave, however God is the ultimate judge.

The way I think of it is... if you have one child, and say he did something he wasn't supposed to do (like do something without asking) you probably would not punish the way you would a child who knew the rules. You would probably tell them that's not how it's done and this is how it works. However, if the child did know better, they would be in trouble.

So, I'm guessing your Buddhist friend is a bit confused and would not be sitting in good standing (however, it's not my place to judge, only God knows what's truly in his heart) However, there is no fence sitting. With God, you are either for him or against him. If someone has never even heard of God, that's okay... the whole goal before the second coming is to get the word of truth to everyone in the world... God would not punish those who didn't know.
