Guys, don't be hard on him for saying monkeys. He says "I believe in evolution" and you start hammering on technicalities. We did evolve from a common ancestor of monkeys so cut him some slack.
Also, you won't go to hell. It has nothing to do with god or evolution, just that there is no hell.

Science is based on facts and the Bible is based on hearsay from religious writers through the ages. But it's nothing wrong with you believing in God. You can believe there is a higher power. And still believe in science. Everything that is in the bible is not exact. Some are just stories, helping you deal with certain life dilemma's. Just think of Noah Ark or David and Goliath their stories that are just too fable like. But that does not mean your going to hell for not believing everything so literally from the Bible's text. That's just a way religious leaders keep fear in churchgoers. That is so archaic, to scare people with the fear of hell ! I think you will suffer if you choose not to find your own definition of life's meaning. Not what a preacher or a scientist tells you. No one knows for sure, we are all trying to figure life out. Just be good to self and others.

The only problem with this is that your believing the bible is not correct. It specifically states we were created human, not monkey, then evolved. This would make you believe that the Bible (God's word) wrong, so can you really believe if you feel that way. Have a look into it, also try reading this book "The Collapse of Evolution" it may help you soully believe in the bible. I can't honestly say if you are or not however, sorry

God, if such an entity exists in the manner that the christian churches say he does, would surely understand and accept the use of one's brain and logic to try to comprehend the intricacies of the universe. Why would he punish seekers of reality by casting them into a painful and eternal hell?
Is Christianity still so fundamental that its followers can't accept evolution? Why is evolution so hard to accept by so many 'young', presumably well educated, people? How does it interfere with religious beliefs?

If you think we are descended from monkeys, you don't accept the scientific evidence for evolution. No scientist would ever make such a ludicrous claim. In any case, no-one will be going to hell for accepting the truth. And we know that biological evolution is reality.

You must mean that you believe in evolution, because we don't come from MONKEYS, we have a hominid ancestor and we are primates because of that. As far as you going to hell goes, I don't believe in hell, so I won't comment on that.

Guy, we are to complexed to have developed from a monkey. I don't know if you noticed or not but why aren't human still developing from monkeys now? The only unforgivable sin is denying the holy spirit. If you believe in God you should believe he created man in his own image. My God is not an APE!!!

You deserve to go to hell for believing we descended from monkeys indeed. Please read a book about evolution, or watch Discovery Channel if you don't like reading.

The bible makes it clear who ends up in eternal torment; those who never accept God's forgiveness of sins through His Son Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

You're believing in something that directly contradicts God's account. To be frank, that makes it wrong. Fortunately for us we don't always have to be right. We just have to be forgiven. If you believe in Jesus Christ and what he did for you, and you accept him as a substitute for you on the cross, then you will surely go to heaven. :) Although you may have some trouble having a close relationship with God if you continue to doubt what he says.
