WHO IS GIVING THE THUMBS DOWN?????

Absolutely. It doesn't really make a difference if they're driving SUVs or mini vans, they still don't know how to drive (mostly). It's fine to want your kids to be active, in fact I think it's great, but soccer moms need to drive vehicles they can handle. I've been run off the road countless times by women who don't know how to check their enormous blind spots or brake sometime before the last second when there's a good 4 inches of ice on the road. Who needs one of those vehicles anyway? Any sedan or station wagon will hold 5 people, which is more than the average family. I realize that there are families larger than that, and for those people I do not oppose the idea of driving a high-occupancy vehicle, but I really think an additional, more thorough driving test should be required for anyone wishing to purchase such a machine, because they are a nuisance to everyone around them if not driven properly.

Soccer moms and SUVs dont't annoy me. People that buy SUVs or large pickup trucks, but can't handle the size of the vehicle annoy me. They get those big vehicles as a status symbol, but they have no idea on how to drive.

Oh yeah they do. I am a mother and driver a station wagon, so use to parking a large car, but those SUV mothers take up 3 car spaces. Its not fair. Also they don't know how to drive and block or just stop in the most unappropriate places. They also block the view of the road for normal level cars.
And the soccer bit - they are agressive and I think put alot of stress on their children to do more than they can. This causes the children to grow up abusively agressive like them. It can also do the opposite by creating very insecure adults when their kids grow up.
So to those mothers - get a easier car to handle or get some advance driving lessons for SUV's (since when do these woman have to have a penis extension - like men do when they drive those beasts)???
Also lay off your kids - let them make their own choices in life with what their interests are and if you go to a sporting game don't set a bad example to them with your agressive behaviour.

Ok. I am an SUV driving soccer mom.

WHY would you let this annoy you?

I drive an SUV b/c minivans are ugly & I need room for my kids +. If it's an environment thing - I have a hybrid.

And WHY are soccer moms, soccer moms? B/c we need our kids to be involved. My son is 3 & I was told to get him involved in a sport for therapeutic reasons & my daughter is in karate & swim....b/c she enjoys it. I want my kids to be active (not in front of a video game) & I don't want them to have too much time on their hands (spending time on the computer or w/ the tv).

And here's the clincher - they can't drive themselves. So we have to pile int othe SUV to go to these activities. Bc walking in 110 degree heat just isn't my thing,

It's too bad you're putting all your energy into being annoyed over something that has nothing to do with you. You must have a sad, boring life.

Not at all, Moms that choose a safer vehicle to transport their children in, shows good judgement. They obviosly work, and can afford such a vehicle, much to the chagrin of unemployed liberals who drive yugos... and the rainbow wariors that drive hybrids... Obviously, they are fairly bright, as they have seen through al gores global warming farse..

i'm one, and it does bother ME when i can't find a spot that is right for my SUV sometimes becuase other mothers that drives the same size car don't know how to park. And also they think they drive pretty well, when is false. Some of them.

No...I dont care one way or another.. I actually prefer them to the moms who share clothes with their 12 year old daughters and drive around in a convertable big enough to fit 1 of their 2 children in.

but hey..to each his own.

They scare me more than annoy me. Trying to do 20 things at once while they're driving in a rush to pick up little Jordy from practice.
