Well, don't go overboard on the water. Eight glasses a day is a myth, no matter what any site or August (September?) edition of Seventeen magazine tells you. Drink it when you're thirsty, and just maybe try to get three glasses a day, if you're thirsty for it.
Vitamin E is good for your skin, and I heard that Vitamin C is good for healing from blemishes.
Get a good face wash, maybe one with salicylic acid or benozyl peroxide. Wash twice a day, preferably once in the morning and once at night. Wait a half hour before applying any acne medication so as to prevent over drying. Again, acne medication should contain salicylic acid or benozyl peroxide. Some people don't like having BOTH a wash as well as a medication with these chemicals, so you can choose a wash without either of the before mentioned chemicals. Clean and Clear for Sensitive Skin is a good choice for sensitive skin. Retin-A can work wonders with acne as well, so try and find products that won't clog pores with Retin-A (a very WEAK amount, 0.01% of this did a lot of good for my skin). If you can, talk to your doctor and see if you can get something for your skin.
Also, don't OVER wash your face. That can create more oil. If you're skin is dry from washing, add a moisturizer after applying medicine. Some people even try applying tea tree oil, though how effective this REALLY is one acne, I don't know.
Exfoliate once a week. It removes dead skin cells that can clog pores. Don't 'pick' at your skin, though I know it's tempting. Breaking pimples can spread more bacteria, causing more acne, AND makes scars that can take a while to go away.
Eat lean proteins (like milk and fish). Exercising can bring a healthy looking 'flush' to your face.
Get plenty of sleep, too. It helps get rid of stress, which can cause acne, and it'll make you feel better. :)
Remember, it takes TIME for these things to work. I mean anywhere from 2-8 weeks. Don't make all these changes suddenly, since that's pretty overwhelming. Experiment with them, and see which ones work and which ones don't seem to. I still have acne (and have done everything to get rid of it), but it has gotten WAY better since I started this. It's hormones and the age, which no face wash, pillow case change, or medicine can clear up. I know it sucks, I'm in the same boat. Also, as far as confidence goes, focus on what you like about yourself than what you don't. Just be happy with what you are. Less worries and a positive attitude can help your skin too. Don't let it eat away at you, since that doesn't help you in any way!
Good luck! :D

1] buy a face wash, toner, sunscreen, and moisturizer for YOUR skin type [ oily, dry, sensitive, combination, normal ].
Wash, tone, ans sunscreen in AM; wash, tone, and moisturize in PM. Wash with your hands or a clean washcloth.
Do not share.
2] use Aapri or St. Ives apricot scrub every day for two weeks. Initially, acne will seem worse as new layers of skin uncover. But as all pores and dead skin cells clear, skin will look better.
3] change pillowcase and sheets every week.
4] keep hands and hair off face!
5] avoid all fried, fast, and junk food - even diet junk food.
6] drink 1/2 gallon of water a day.
7] take a quality multivitamin with minerals every day
8] exercise at least three days a week for 30 - 45 minutes - pumps blood more efficiently, so helps skin too
9] use acne cream or gel for any zits
10] use ONLYnon-comedogenic makeup - it's labeled on the package - look for it!
11] keep baby wipes or cleansing pads in gym locker to clean face after working out

The products you are using, are they Salsylic Acid or Benzoyl peroxide? BP can be VERY drying. I personally like SA better. Salsylic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying for me! Try finding a face lotion with SA in it. Clean and Clear has a good moisturizer with SA and it helps keep pimples at bay. It is only about $5 a bottle and lasts about 2 months and you can get it at your local store. I have used this in the past and it works well. Personally, I use Biore products (which you get over the counter. Their products range from $5-$10). They are harsh on pimples, but not on your face.
Personally, Proactive didn't work for me. I have been using Biore products for over a year and I hardly ever break out! Occasionally I will get one or two, but nothing bad. I use Biore Ice Cleanser for acne and Biore warming facial scrub every morning for blackheads (This stuff works. I notcied a DRASTIC diffrence in my blackeads being GONE within 2 weeks) . And then 3-4 day s a week I use Biore purging pore cream scrub. For body acne I use Neutrogena acne body wash I never break out on my body. It gets 110 in summer so sweat in inevitably, yet I never break out. Give it a try. All of it is cheap too. About $5-10 depending on what you buy! Salsylic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying for me! I think you will just need to experiment with products until you find what works for you. Remember, it can take 1 month for products to fully begin working! Good Luck!

wash it every morning and night, if you already do that, wash it 3x a day
change your pillow case once in a while
try to avoid touching your face
wear your hair up when you go to bed
wash it after sports/working out
if it's really really bad, ask mom to take you to the dermatologist
they'll get you medicine to help clear it up :o)
remember: everyone gets acne! it's part of growing up

Best answer I would have is to go to the doctor or dermatologist and ask if there is anything to help. I know my g/f takes pills from the doctor and they work great!
Good luck and hope you get your confidence back.

From your name to the way you formed your question, it doesn't look like you are short of confidence. Just keep your face clean and let nature take its course.
I see you changed your screenname...
