God never changes, he is the same yesterday, today and forever. Yes, he has a real issue with ALL SIN!

God has always been the same and always will be. The difference is that over time our understanding and experience of God has changed. This is why the earliest Biblical passages depict God in a much more human capacity, and gradually our understanding evolves to that expressed by Jesus in the New Testament.
Whether homosexuality is right or wrong, I cannot tell you. All I can say is that true Christians should not define themselves or anyone else by their sexual orientation. In other words, homosexual people shouldn't make gay rights more important than belonging to the Church, and heterosexual Christians shouldn't treat homosexual Christians any differently because of their orientation. We are Christians first. Period.

There is a difference between being attracted to members of the same sex and homosexual activity. I believe that at least some of God's "issue" with homosexuality is exactly the same as his issue with heterosexual activity outside of marriage. Many of the physical, mental, and spiritual consequences of sexual activity (with the obvious exception of unplanned pregnancy *smile*) are related to hetero- and homosexual behavior. I don't think these consequences have changed so why would God's warnings about the dangers have changed?
People that only engage in homosexual behavior inside a committed, lifetime relationship (legal marriage where the law allows, "spiritual" marriage otherwise) wouldn't be openeing themselves up to the general consequences of sexual activity outside of marriage. However, the fact that God mentioned homosexual behavior separately and distinctly from fornication indicates to me that he is aware of other consequences of homosexual activity even if it is limited to a "marriage" relationship.
What are these consequences? Before the theory that homosexuals are "born that way" became the prevailing "truth" in psychological research, numerous studies indicated that homosexual feelings and behavior were a consequence of mental and psychological problems and if those problems were addressed, that "symptom" would also disappear. Other more recent studies have focused on the medical and mental consequences of homosexual activity and found higher rates of suicidal thoughts, higher rates of suicide attempts and completed suicides, higher rates of depression and other mental conditions, and higher rates of contracting certain illnesses and diseases.
I'll concede that at least some of the blame for the higher rates of suicide, depression and other mental problems suffered by homosexuals rests with all the people who treat homosexuals with hate instead of love. Especially those that claim to do so in the name of a "loving God" (though religious people aren't the only ones to react hatefully to homosexuals).
Most of the gay people I know are pretty cool too and I love every one of them. I believe that they have made a decision that will ultimately cause them pain and if they ask my opinion, that is what I will tell them. I'm also a firm believer in "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" and I do plenty of things that cause myself pain too...and I sure hope my friends love me enough to point them out to me! I don't think God ranks sin, it just makes him sad when people don't heed his warnings!

Check Genesis 19. The thing is this...God has a problem with all sin. Whether it is stealing, lying, whatever....
I've had great friends who are gay, also....The gay part is between them and God, not me...I have enough to worry about in my own walk with God

I think that the people who wrote the bible had an issue with homosexuality. If God exists, and he is perfect (as it is claimed he is) and he made somebody gay (believe it, people, it's not a choice), wouldn't it be a sin to fight against who God made you to be? Besides, I'm sure God has bigger things to worry about than what goes on in somebody's bedroom.
Thanks, Samantha! I like smart people. :-)

Well, the Christian God claims to love everyone equally, so hopefully homosexuals will be right up there with the rest of them.

It really isn't about what any one of us think, is it now?
If God has stipulated that those committing murder, theft, idolatry, adultery, and homosexuality to mention some of the forbidden things shall not enter God's Kingdom -- then it is for us to obey if we desired that reward.
That some people may have tendencies that perhaps (?) might be the result of genetics doesn't mean that giving in to such tendencies is permitted.
Each human being is sinful. Each has his or her own particular area of weaknesses -- if we want to be saved these sinful tendencies must not be indulged in. It leads to damnation.

Long before there was any knowledge of things like germs, bacteria, or virus, God informed His chosen people about what to eat, how to live, etc.
Now, in modern day times, we see what the reasoning was but back then the people only knew to follow His instructions. Today, we know that inter-marriage eventually gives birth to malformed humans. We know that we need to cook pork thoroughly or we're liable to consume hook worms. We know that if we drink too much booze, we will get sick and possibly die, if we don't stop.
We know that feces in the water is contamination and that the bacteria in the rectum is fine, as long as it stays in the rectum but deadly if we eat it.
So, yeah...I'd say that God hasn't changed His mind about deadly, sickening things.

I think the issue at play here is the one homosexuals have with their own sexuality.
