Yes, I'm an environmental scientist. Since I'm an environmentalist it's a very rewarding job. As my coworker put it today, "I never feel bad about what I'm doing."

If the environment is something you're concerned about, then studying environmental science is the way to go.

I'm employed as a naturalist, but I want to get my title changed since certain land steward responsibilities were added several years ago. I lead trail tours, work with Eagle Scouts, run the monthly land steward program, and develop and present a regular wild lands education program. It's very rewarding, I learn a lot doing research, and I meet so many wonderful people. It's not full time so benefits are limited, and the pay could be better, but I love my work, most days.

Volunteer as a docent or land steward. You'll learn a lot and it looks good on a resume, plus it might open some doors or lead to new paths you hadn't anticipated.

I'm currently an environmental science major in college.
I like it because it is finally a topic I'm interested in (looked around at a few majors) but it does occasionally worry me that I won't find a job. But everyone always says follow your passions.

I would suggest a more physical or life science major, with an environmental secondary major or minor.

I lead a lot of interpretive hikes and kayaking trips. I currently do this for an expensive resort. I used lead trips for kids. I find it extremely entertaining, and a bit disturbing, how uninformed some of the guests are when it comes to basic ecology. I don't think I have the impact on them that I used to have with kids.

Yes, I work as a wildlife biologist and I specialize in ornithology. I mostly study endangered bird species as well as declining bird species, endangered fish, bats, reptiles and we also hire crews to do invasive plant removal. I find my job to be enormously satisfying...I could not dream of doing anything else!!
