Yes I can sing opera. I haven't perfected it (despite 20 years of effort). Very few singers ever acheive PERFECT status. Don't let that stop you from studying and performing. The imperfections in each person's voice add character.

wasn't all ready by the time I got my diploma ( 4 yrs at an average university, not known for perfomance practice in music ). don't think I'll ever reach perfection.
is there anything to do after you reach perfection? I don't think it's possible in this life. I know I have a level of performance that comes up to the 80% standard. I never allow myself to drop below this for public performance. If I feel worse off than that, I call in sick. And I've sung in public through colds, flus, bronchitis, and the day after my mother's death this last Feb.
