1] shave after you have been in the shower or tub for 10 minutes - opens the pores, and softens the hairs. Do not shave if water is cold, or you have goosebumps.
2] do not use soap - it is very drying, and will not give as good a shave
3] use one razor/blade only 3-4 times - it loses sharp edge quickly, and you won't get as close a shave.
4] any extra protection or sensitive skin shaving GEL outperforms all other creams, soaps, etc. In an emergency, use hair conditioner [ I tried it, and it works! ]
5] shave from ankles to knees, three strokes in a row, overlapping each one a little. Rinse blade after every third stroke.
6] then shave from top of knees to top of thighs, in same way.
7] straighten knees, and shave fronts of them.
8] flex feet so toes point towards knees, and shave backs of ankles.
9] rinse legs thoroughly, and rinse blade thoroughly
10] brush your teeth or something after you get out of shower. Wait a few minutes so pores close up a little, and your legs don't break out from your moisturizer.

Try doing it in the middle of your shower. That way your skin softens up a bit and the pores are more open so it will be easier to get a good shave.

It's "ok" to use soap, but I've found that I dont get as close a shave when I do. Plus soap tends to dry out the skin. It's better to get a shaving gel/cream. A hydrating one is best.

Use a good sharp razor. Blunt razors leave stuble, and you're actually more likely to cut yourself.

Always use a moisturizing lotion afterwards.

shave after you've been in the warm water a few minutes, so your pores open up and you get the cleanest/smoothest shave possible. Soap works as far as the shaving goes, but I'd put lotion on after so your legs don't become dry. Not sure what you mean about black dots, i'm assuming your talking about your pores? So maybe if your shave is closer and cleaner you won't have that issue anymore. If you get razor burn then esp at the bikini area, buy some Bikini Zone, it helps to remove the bumps and burning. I love the stuff!

You should shave in the shower & use shaving cream. Also you probably just have big pores, so you could shave downwards after you shave upwards, that should help a little but its kindof unecessary, dont worry no one but you notices the black dots. Good luck! :]

Shave while your in the shower, its ok to use soap but it makes the blades duller, and if the black dots are hair.. you need a new razor and if its not it may be where the hair grows out of.

First soak your legs in water then exfoliate them with a scrub or loafa after then you should use a cream with aloe vera to shave...also i like using products like Nair or Veet...i get a smoother result then with shaving. But exfoliated is your key to gettin rid of thoes black dots...all that dead skin need is blocking your shaving...lol OH YEAH and dont forget to moisterize and if you want a really finishing look when your showing thoes sexy legs...get a spray on tan or body make up to look flawless mixed with some baby oil or gel so...gives your legs a lil glow...really nice!

1. after you shower is best bcz your pores are open from the heat.
2. it is ok, but cream gives a better layer of protection from nicks and cuts.
3. you might have just missed a few spots while shaving or it could just be your hair follicles showing more bcz your pores are open.
