I have a 10 month old part lab/golden retriever. I also have an 8 year old lab who will eat anything. I ran into a good sale on bologna and I give them each a piece or two as a treat. My son questioned whether this is ok for a 10 month old dog so...I am asking all of you. Thanks!

Sure, just don't tell them what's in it.

I have a dog and I feed him human food. I actually have a yellow lab/beagle. We took him to the vet yesterday, and the vet said that he is very healthy.
As long as your dog runs around enough (which, I'm sure with that breed, he does), it shouldn't be a problem.
Dogs, after all, did live on scraps before dog food came around. To tell the truth, I've heard from loads of veterinarians, that human food is even better for dogs than canned dog food is. If you ever look at what's in that, you will be unpleasantly surprised.

But the point is, if your dog is active, you can feed him human food. If he's not, you might want to think twice.

A dog trainer told me that the dog doesn't measure the size of the treats he receives, but he does count how many times he is treated. So break it down. Just give them a bite. They'll be just as happy, and not get all the salt, fillers, etc.

No it will not harm your dog to give them bologna once in a while. It has garlic in it and will help control fleas and ticks also. Not sure you should give them alot of any table food, but it certainly will not hurt your dog.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I even used to use little pieces of that or hot dogs cut up to use for training in a pinch. I just wouldn't give them a lot at one time. :)

I don't think it will kill them...if that's what you mean. I give my dogs pepperonis every now and then, and it's pretty much the same as bologna...chopped up animal parts (of course, that's what most dog foods are anyways.)

I think that's fine. :)

bolognas not really the best meat, it's very processed and high in sodium. a little fruit or vegetables or even eggs would be healthier.

My companions love their hot dogs. Frozen for about an hour~we call em pup sickles. But does that mean they are cannibals?

I guess it would be alright. My aunt used to feed her dog hot dogs all the time!

That pup should be eatting anything and everyhing by now. It isnt going to get hurt by bologne, as long as it isnt rancid.
