You finish the date or tell them the truth (that you have zero romantic interest). Mature people who date someone they are not physically attracted politely finish the date or just let them know that there is no connection, or they stay and get to know the person and make up their mind afterwards. Believe it or not this "ugly" person may not think your so hot either....I ended up being involved with a woman who is beautiful but does not fall into what I thought my type was...and then when I met her this whole "type" thing meant nothing.

I don't date for looks. I used to, and yes, I do like my guy to be clean and look healthy, but nothing other than those minor things.

You should really try talking to the person, and be nice to them. Sure, he/she may not be very pretty to you, but one's ugliness is another's beauty. Maybe that person might have googly eyes or a gap in their teeth, but makes their kind and gentle, or artistic, or they might just "wow" you in some way you would never expect them to.

Just give the ugly people a try instead of shunning them. They might turn out to be a true prince/princess. :)

Besides, why would an ugly person want to date you? Is it because it is the only date you can ever get? You need an attitude check sometimes.

You stop being SO SHALLOW! Looks arent everything and that doesnt mean the person isnt cool, you just may not be attracted to them.

Tell them you would make great friends some time during the evening just to let them down easy.

uh... How about you not judge people by their appearance? Try noticing there personality. The funny thing people don't realize is when they grow old they aren't going to be pretty anymore they are gonna sag and get wrinkley. what's really going to sell you is your personality.

you ansered your own question... did you want us to give you another solution.... it was rather unclear... well, anyway... you can always excuse yourself to the bathroom, cal your friends... tell them to call you in like 5 mins.. enough time to get back to him... and then gasp on the phone when your friend calls, act suprised.... then tell him you have to go, your mom called and your brother (or relative of choice) is in the hospital... and you have to leave imidiately..... or you can just suck it up and try to enjoy the night... just a thought.
