Boxers are generally really sweet dogs; they are big, and bouncy, but they are really good dogs.

Most dogs act really the same, just like most cats do. If you have a dog at home, you can expect this dog to behave more or less like yours. The only thing I would be worried about is that some people don't train their dogs not to jump up when they're happy to see you. Otherwise, just think of him as a Snuffalufagus instead of a Baby Alice.

Boxers are kind of like pugs with longer legs. LOL

Seriously the dog is not going to hurt you. If you have concerns talk your friend and ask her. Has her dog ever show aggression? Does he bite? I am sure she is going to say no.

If you are still concerned have you have met the dog, ask if dog can sleep outside the room you are going to be in.

here is some information on Boxers http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/boxer.htm

One thing you should know is how to greet a dog though. Let him sniff you hand and then pet him gentle under his chin. If he looks comfortable you can pet his chest or head. Move slowly and first and don't look straight into his eyes.

You're the one who can decide how comfortable you are with the dog. Just remember : motion is stimulating to a dog, whereas being still and "boring" is not. So, resist the temptation to flap your hands and arms around if the dog jumps on you. If you don't want the dog near you, tell your friend so - if he jumps on you, turn around. I expect that if you completely ignore the dog, that he will think "Ah well, so much for _her_...." and leave you alone. Good luck!

it is siorious problem. it is difficult to train 2years dog.
Pls read the amount the book how to train. And see how to train it. don't give up i will advise yu by my all effrorts.
First of all to be yu shld get the dog to know that you are the best partner. it does not mean to feed extra. And also it is
very impotant to get him to know that you are the boss in the house. the dog obey more powerfu than him. wisdom & toughness yu shld need for a while. maybe took half year.

Don't worry. When you meet the dog you will see it is a big teddy bear. They are big, so some people are scared by them, but it is like being scared by goofy at Disney World.

Just relax around it just like you would your own dog..I have never met a mean Boxer thus far. I'm 30 and have known several....They were all pretty much like you just described...They love attention and affection.

I have never personally known of one to bite. They are more like a big bouncy dog --a little hyper and stupid like. The worst that ever happened to me by one was it wasn't trained and it jumped up and busted my lip on his big head.

Aww..sorry you're so afraid of big dogs. But just try to relax. I have no doubt you will soon see the dog means you no harm and in no time you will feel comfortable. :)
