ok so. i bought a microsoft webcam that isnt working. i called product support and they asked for a product number is that the same as a model number?

There are different number ie: serial number, model number, catalog number, product number, etc. Just have every number you can find ready when you call them again. Sometimes I think they just do that to cause us more hassle! Be prepared !

Possibly, but it could be looking for the 'catalogue' number if you purchased it online.
If you get a refund buy a logitech orbit/sphere mp.
I just got mine and it rocks =)

are you sure you have the driver installed? put in the CD you got with the cam and install the driver, otherwise it won't work.
