Raging Bull has to be at the top of my list for sure. I think it was Robert De Niro's best work as an actor, as well as Joe Pesci's. The Hurricane with Denzel Washington was an excellent film as well. The Great White Hope starring James Earl Jones as Jack Johnson was a good one also. There are many that i like, but these are probably my favorites.

Including the Rocky movies, it is Raging Bull. Million Dollar Baby is also better than any of the Rocky movies, except for maybe the first one.

The Boxer starring Daniel Day Lewis. Lewis was very credible as a boxer. He got good training from ex-champ Barry McGuigan. Also, the fight scenes were realistic and less cinematic.
