I feel like I am going to have a anxiety attack about entering nursing?
school. I am attending a expensive private school this far, and hae taken out 14,000 inloans already. I still have 3 years left. I am nervous if I fail out my life will be ruined. I want it but sometimes I dont have a lot of confidence, and this is my worst enemy. I hear stories about people failing out. Any R.N.s advise for someone who was always an average student not great at math.

Relax. You're psyching yourself out for no reason.

Yes, nursing school is hard..but if it wasn't-anyone could do it.
You can do it, and being bad at math isn't going to prevent you from being a good nurse.

Remember to take it one day at a time. Study seriously. Read your assignments and take good notes. Get a good care plan book...it'll save your life.

I take good notes, then type them up, then listen to them on a tape recorder...tedious, but you know what? Repetition = results.

As a former financial aid director at a nursing school, i heard this fear many times. Mainly from older students. Your school more than likely has some sort of support group within the nursing field. I found the nursing students at my former school VERY supportive almost like a school family . Most entering nursing fell the same way. If you feel average in math, many are too. Join a study group.

You'll do GREAT!!
