*This is my second time asking this I had some good answers before so im asking it again*

First of I am catholic, OK now.... In the Masses that Jesus gave they were nothing like the Catholic church today. The catholic church is very repetitive. Basically the only important part is the first reading, second reading, and the Gospel reading.

If you have never been to a Catholic Mass service please dont answer.

Jesus would knock down the idols and scold them for praying to Mary and calling their priest "Father" and pope "Holy Father". He would treat them like the pharisees. Their religion of works and rituals would disgust Him.

What would Jesus think about the Catholic Mass. I think he loves it because he is the one who created it. If you'll look to the book of Revelation chapters 4 & 5 you see the heavenly worship. Notice how it looks a whole lot like the Catholic Mass. You have the Holy, Holy, Holy , the Lamb of God, the Scrolls being read, the people standing, and then falling down. The Catholic Mass hasn't changed that much. The Apostles used to go to the temple, and then they would go to one another home to finish celebrating. The first part of the Mass is styled after the Jewish service of the first century, the 2nd half of the Mass if styled after the Passover meal, which is what the Lords supper was. You can read the Church Fathers and see just how similar the Mass really is from the first century. Just like in the book of Revelation when we celebrate Mass here it is being celebrated in heaven, we are celebrating with all the glorious saints and angels, what a wonderful gift out lord has given us.

The Eucharist has always been and always will be the source and summit of the Catholic Mass, ad life for Catholics in general.

Scripture is read at mass precisely because Scripture was read by Jesus at the Last Supper (the Last Supper being the "template" that the Mass is based on.

The Liturgy of the Word is important, but the Liturgy of the Eucharist is of UTMOST importance.

Catholic or not, you obviously know nothing yet about Catholicism. The Mass is the heart of Catholicism, and the heart of the Mass is the Sacrament of the Eucharist. This is the purpose of the Mass: to receive the actual Body and Blood of Jesus Christ under the form of bread and wine. The only Mass that Jesus ever gave on earth was His sacrifice on the cross, but since His bodily resurrection, He is personally present at every Mass ever celebrated. Get yourself a copy of the wonderful new Compendium of the Catechism and read it!

Would He find the Mass boring? He is the Mass.

Gosh, if you think only the readings are important, you should pick up a book called "The How-To Book of the Mass." It's short, but it will explain everything you've been missing.

The most important part of the Mass is when Jesus makes Himself present in the Eucharist. Anybody who is a Christian ought to find that the most amazing, wonderful, startling, mind-boggling and INTERESTING thing ever.

Just because that is repeated daily in every Mass doesn't make it boring to those of us who know what it means. God coming to us! Making Himself physically present for our sake! It's tremendous, really!

As for what Jesus thinks about it, well, I imagine since He is wholly invested in the Mass, He's got to be interested in it.

“Basically the only important part is the first reading, second reading, and the Gospel reading.”

You’ve completely missed the entire point of the Mass. The Mass is not about bible readings or homilies. That is not why we gather. The Mass is about one thing, and it is truly the most important and the ONLY thing that matters: the Holy Eucharist.

We gather for Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, for communion with Him.

it sounds like you really have no idea what Catholic Mass is all about. Mass is the highest form of worship to God. if you find one hour of Mass boring, then maybe you're experiencing spiritual dryness. pray for that. God bless.

according to His Word, Jesus thinks catholicism is very, very bad. (rev. 17, 18)
- the vatican, rome is mystery babylon
- catholic church is the mother harlot ...
rev. 17 specifically describes the catholic church ... bishops & arch bishops.
- catholicism is the white horse of the 4 horsemen of the apocalyspe. these are evil spirits that are in the earth.
so.....
Jesus would NOT be pleased.
