It would only work if you had power but your best chance would be to kick it in the nose real hard but please don't try to RNC a tiger, it has claws, a big neck, and is very strong.

Yes it is possible! you can defend yourself!
........... to no avail, as a tiger would eat or kill you without even trying, wether you defend or not, a human being is just to weak and fragile to do anything to an animal BORN to hunt, that's over 600 lbs.
A tiger can easily kill a big, powerful, FAST, animal like a horse, do you think you could "hit and run"?
The only way a human being would have a chance, would be by being bigger and stronger than a tiger, I don't know anybody who is over 600 lbs of muscle, with long steely razor sharp fingernails, and vampire like teeth.

Chuck - that first video is the funniest thing I have EVER seen!!! THANK YOU!!! Although -- I am fairly certain that was a cheetah, not a tiger. That second clip was amazing -- I wouldn't have thrown the stick though, I would have kept it as a weapon, although I don't know that it would have made much difference.............sheese

unless there are other people with you you're pretty much screwed, the only way to really defend yourself is to give it something to bite that isn't vital like your forearm until some one else comes to help you otherwise if the tiger really wants to kill you it will with relative ease

As with ALL large predators.. you are most likely just meat.. but if you dont want to go quietly into the night..
Center line people.. head, neck, sternum animals have all of these and they are just as vital for them as they are for us.. only difference is we can protect ours to some degree. They rush in head first ...
Take a dog for instance, if it lunges at you it exposes its head , neck and chest to kicks / punches..
a good kick to the neck/ chest can crush its ribcage / throat
They are deadly in packs but not a major threat to us. same "go for the throat" or eyes sort of strike would most likely drive off many animals.
