Us atheists have been pounding into everybody's heads the fact that atheism isn't a faith, it's "the lack of a faith." Should we all assume everybody knows what atheism means, and stop nitpicking over word choice?
I'm not really sure of my opinion, try to convince me.

I don't thin atheism is a religion, I think word choice is a waste of time.

Zero is a number in as much as black is a colour.
You could convince me easily that total baldness is also a hairstyle.
Moving onward and upward, atheism is not a religion, it is a LACK of religion, which is a very good thing.

Zero is a number, and can be used to count. The most well-known example being, 'count the number of tigers in this room.'
Atheism literally means "no god" and by itself is merely conceptual. Any particular atheist may deny he has a religion at all, or he may claim to be a devoutly religious person. It would depend, I suppose, on what he believes in 'other than' a god-concept.
I have my own opinion of atheism-as-religion-or-not, but really do not wish to convince anyone.

Yes, zero is a number. It's used to fill in places in other numbers (ex. 1,000 is not 1) Atheism is a religion, there's just no God in yours, which is fine by me.

Yes, because the nitpicking is stupid and it's like Atheists are trying to place themselves in a special category.

Zero isn't a number, it's a concept.
So is atheism.

It is a sad fact that those masses who follow religion like lemmings jumping off a cliff have to associate everything to their liking. What I mean is they need to catagorize the things around them because they feel well if we wear blue then all must wear it cuz its just what is right since it is what most are comfortable with. Be happy they say its a faith...you could be like me and have them cast you off as a devil worshiping pig just because it rivals their core beliefs

Atheism should be a religion...... our holy rule should be..... we will not pay taxes until religious organizations start paying them.
Let us NOT pray.
