my dog was spayed about 2 days ago and she was hurting quite a bit the day after, but then that stopped. now she wont stop crying. she is being really active, running around jumping, so i dont think she is in pain. every time she goes near one of her squeeky toys she starts crying more and then she wouldnt go to bed without it, and started crying when she was in bed. she always goes to bed easily so i'm sure something is up. she could have a phobia?

I am not forcing her to be active at all, i have done all the vet said, about stopping her licking it etc. but if she keeps jumping up onto the sofa, how am i supposed to stop her?

Was she in heat,or just out of heat when she was spayed? If so,she could be having a false pregnancy. This would explain the behavior with the toys. Also do you have a crate,or a room where you could keep her ( put a baby gate across the door)so she can't jump up onto things? I know it's really hard to keep a dog quiet after spay surgery, but you need to try.I think she is probably just having a false pregnancy, though, with the crying and wanting her toy.Just call your vet tomorrow and ask.If she's eating and drinking well, and acting normal otherwise, then it's probably nothing serious.Good for you for getting her spayed!

its not a phobia.. or who knows it might be..?
all i know from past experiences from my own pets is that
their behaviors change quite a bit when they go through these sort of surgeries..as you were probably told by the vet
don't let the dog be as active as she normally is until she heals completely!
remember she just had a surgery so put yourself in her shoes.
try playing games with her without having her run around.
and just pet her she may need that extra loving care right now.
its completely normal for her to be behaving differently so don't panic
if things don't seem to get any better withing the next few days..consult with your vet immidiately because it can get worse and
she might need some pain pills
best wishes

Well for one thing you shouldn't be letting her "running around jumping" so shortly right after surgery! What is wrong with you? Don't you have any sense at all?!

She may have torn something due to your negligence. Or if she was spayed while she was pregnant, there may still be hormones at work and she is carrying the toy like a baby. In any case, get her to the vet!

that is one element to lose an previous canines (undesirable sufficient) yet relatively yet another to lose one that is youthful. you will experience cheated, unhappy, indignant, annoyed, the if-in basic terms's..... all of that. All i'm able to declare is it gets extra handy. you would be waiting to get by this. this form of tragedy provides us adventure for what would be different tragedies for the time of existence. We in basic terms might desire to income from those activities, provide the hurting time to heal, concentration forward (if that consists of a sparkling puppy top away, sobeit, if it does not go away it for a whilst and then think of roughly it lower back) in basic terms understand you will awaken sooner or later, quickly, and experience extra desirable. meanwhile while you're crying each and every of the time, that is definitely healthful. some distance extra desirable than bottling all of it up interior because of fact it needs to come again out. Be courageous. this could bypass.

The Vet should have given you enuff pain meds for a week. Your dog could have torn her internal sutures, so you need to go back to the Vet and explain the circumstances. Don't wait, because it could be very serious.

The dog may not be in much pain, until she is walking around, and the toy may comfort her... altho she might still be in pain.

No she is in pain. She isn't supposed to be running around and jumping she is supposed to be quiet and your supposed to make sure she has time to heal. Didn't the vet give you pain meds for her. She may have popped a stitich. You better bring her back to the vets to be checked to make sure.

It is very important to keep a female crated or otherwise confines where she cannot do any jumping on the furniture for at least a week after spaying. They can bust the stitcjes out as well as injure themselves. The vet should have told you this after the surgery. She is probably in pain.
