All of the sportscasters use his full name but none of the other drivers have that priviledge. Take Jeff Gordon and Dale Jr. for instance, they either say Jeff Gordon or Gordon or that 24 car and the same for Jr. It makes me sick that think they have to use his whole friggin name like he is a god or something.

Why not just say Montoya or Juan or just Juan Montoya????

I don't get it either. He comes into NASCAR and figures everyone should bow down to him. The problem is the media is there kissing his A$$ every race. I've never seen so much attention given to a driver who is just insode the top 20. Next race count how many mentions Tony Montana gets compared to Bobby Labonte who sits right behind him in points and is a past champion.
It's almost enough to make me watch the entire race with the mute button on.

I think that it's because he's accomplished so much in racing, but so has Jeff Gordon and dale Jr., so their is no reason they should be saying his middle name.

You have to remember he is a primadonna, and NASCAR wants to bring other cultures into it so it can expand. That is why they went to Mexico and Canada; and are talking about going to Europe. But what NASCAR is also doing is lossing its primary fan base by doing this. By allowing this hothead to continue to wreck someone almost every week (lets not forget he is a ROOKIE) they are saying your the only forigner and you could bring in a whole new market so if you win (even if it means taking out everyone to include your teammates) the forign fans will start watching. He wants to be known as the best but in reality he is the worst; even Wrecking Robbie is better.

Maybe that's the name he goes by! I have a cousin who's name is Michael Wayne, and he goes by Michael Wayne. I don't see anything wrong with that. His name translates to John Paul,, so maybe he likes it that way!

Go Jr.>>>>

Nothing special about him IMO... they could just call him 'Juan' - after all, how many other drivers in NASCAR named Juan could he be confused with? LOL!

Harvick's my man - I just loved your answer, if I could I'd give you the 10 points, very good and very very funny.

Considering his driving , I'm sure some of his fellow drivers (Kevin Harvick) call him something, not so nice.
When is NASCAR gonna do somthing about his over aggresive driving. they can call him anything they want as long as the call him in front of Mike Helton

I've noticed that before too, but I think they're getting a little better about it.
