This question has been asked before by some other people, but not everyone got to answer those ones, right? :D

I lived in NYC for all my life, and I wanted to got to France and Japan (for heritage and) to see the different architecture. I haven't, but I'm planning to in the future...

After living in NY for 14 years, I moved to Hawaii. Big Island. Here in high school, when I tell people of where I moved from, they say, "wow! I wanna go there! You're so lucky~! This place is boring. Nothing to do! *sigh* All the fun is in smoking pot and surfing." <-- seriously, thats a mesh of what people told me so far. They also asked, "are there any hot guys? Is there daily gun shoot-outs? Any black people and houlies [Hawaiian for Caucasians]?" The general pop. make-up is very different.

...Its funny, because before I left to this place, my then classmates said, "I wanna go to Hawaii! It must be beautiful there. I'm so jealous. Please, take me with you- stuff me in your suitcase."

Do tell.

Ah, I just wanted to add: NYC is very dirty compared to Hawaii. -__-
And, since I live in the mostly rural part of this state (Honolulu , the capital and only major city, is on another island. Btw, tomorrow's date is when Hawaii officially became a state. School's off. ^_^), I can say that though Hawaii has more of the natural beauty (clear waters and long stretches of nothingness, anyone?), NYC is a lot more convenient, and there IS more stuff to do than go to the movies every Friday night.
:-)

The grass is always greener on the other side until you get to the other side. I would like to visit Scotland, land of my ancestors.

I want to go to all the islands of Polynesia: New Zealand, Tahitia, Marquesas, Easter Island, etc. Being Filipino, I love the island life and really am interested in the learning the cultures of the Maori, Tahitian, Marquesans, before their colonization. Hawaii is a beautiful place also with rich culture as well in regards to Polynesian. But I know what you are talking about, I dont if I could live there. I grew up half my life in Queens, NY and the latter half in Los Angeles, so being stranded on a island might feel crazy at first. But I would really enjoy the life of everyone getting along and just being relaxed.

Alaska. I've been there before and its sooo beautiful. The national parks are great, and the cold isnt that bad in the summer. Go there sometime. Its even better if you drive, cause you get to go through Canada!
