So yeah, i was with my friend who was in ACUs, and the metal detector guy made him take of his boots because the army is now making boots with switchblades in them, as in, when you stomp your foot really hard, a blade comes out the front.
Like in the movies.

The guy said that they are finding soldiers with them all the time now, mostly ppl going to iraq.

Im guessing so that you're always armed.

Either way, can someone enlighten me on where to get these? The guy said they buy them on the internet.

Or can someone just give me the name of them?

Or intructions on how to make my own?

thank you if you help

Switchblade boots? Where can I get a pair?

Seriously, I'm in the Army, they don't exist. The same reason we have to take off our boots is the same reason you have to take off your shoes, they x-ray them to make sure.

Granted, someone walking through the booth in full military garb coming or going to Iraq probably isn't going to have any explosives on their person. We get no special treatment, nor is it expected. As the NCO Creed says, "I will not use my grade or position to attain pleasure, profit, or personal safety."

When I got back from Kuwait, I had to take off my boots in the Norfolk, Virginia airport before flying home. The TSA officer had asked me if my boots were steel-toed (which they are) and that I would have to take them off so the metal detector did not go off.

There are no switchblades in boots. Everyone has to take their shoes off going through airport security now, even people wearing flipflops.

No such animal; TSA Bravo Sierra nobody mades a boot knife or shoe knife. Looks great in the 1962 James Bond movie "From Russia With Love", but it is pure fiction!!

TSA cannot profile people based on their race for ramdom inspection. It is very common for TSA inspectors to focus on service personnel in uniform on leave travelling on order and little old ladies to demonstrate they are not profiling!!
