Relevancy aside, I think the article is very interesting. There was a similar story several years ago about a couple in the Midwest US that wanted to name their child a long sequence of numbers.
And mine would be Astrix. Not *, but the actual word, spelled out. 'Cause I wanna be different, just like everyone else. =)

I like the ~ also. I read about a couple in England (I think) who had trouble conceiving. When they finally had a baby, they wanted to name him 4real (because they couldn't believe he was for real). I think they got turned down by the government.
