Very, because if god created us, and he created hell, then by definition he is a sadist. Thus, by worshiping a sadist is only to make us a masochist.
Story after story in the bible shows that he is a sadistic dictator. The poor people of Egypt exercised their free will, yet god killed their first born children for it. God caused the 10 plagues, and yet people go back to him.
