you don't get a reward and i doubt the person could find out

The IRS used to give rewards (and still might), but they were a percentage of the amount they were able to collect. So unless you're talking big bucks, it probably isn't worth it.

The IRS won't give out your name, but chances are word will get out.

noone is going to reward you for turning someone in you idiot get with the times and get a brain. I hope the person that you turn in kicks your booty for sticking your nose in where you dont belong.

The IRS wouldn't tell them who turned them in, or even that anyone did, although they might be able to guess.
