If you sued either the dentist or the dental assistant, you would have to prove that there was gross negligence of their professional duty. A piece of a gum flap being sucked up in the suction is regrettable, but I highly doubt negligent.
Resorbable sutures are meant to fall out after a few days. If you weren't having any trouble why did you go back? Any flap would hardly be healed in a few days. Maybe after a week or 10 days would you expect the gums to not be so loose.
in my mind, you likely created some sort of scene at the dentist's office and were asked to find another office.
You have the right to go to a different dentist if you so choose.
Beyond that...good luck!

Please people. There is hardly enough information to tell whether or not you should sue someone.

Is anyone just a little bit curious about how the patient got fired? It just doesn't happen because. There are two sides to the story!! What are the events surrounding your cancellation??

just like any docter you can sue the dentest for medical mal practrice, baring that you could go after the dental assistant in a cival cace.
