There is way more to this question that just how much you made and how many dependents you claim. My initial though is you aren't paying any taxes anyway, have you ever thought about making more money? You have a computer, why not use it to make money, I can even show you how to use your skills as a hair dresser to refer people to online stores that will pay you for the referal... including makeup, haircair, styling etc. I'm a CPA, give me some more info to work with and I'll see what you can actually claim.

Check out page 45. It is the EIC Table and you need to find on the chart: your income, your number of dependents and your filing status.

Get a CPA or do the return yourself, if you can. The tax services charge an arm and a leg to prepare returns that include EIC. And whatever you do, DO NOT ever get a refund anticipation loan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just some friendly advice.

Yes you can. You'd claim it on your tax return where you calculate the taxes that you owe.
