Check out:
Little Charlie and the Night Cats
Shemekia Copeland
John Lee Hooker Jr.
and, while I'm at it, might as well plug my local lil blues band:

The recording is a little rough, but you'll get the idea.

Anything off the Blue Bella Records label out of Elgin, IL, which is on the south of Chicago:
Nick Moss & the Fliptops
Bill Lupkin & the Chicago Blues Coalition
Kilborn Alley Blues Band
Then check out some folks from North of the Border
Watermelon Slim & the Workers
The Twisters
Mem Shannon
Delta Groove also has alot of really cool artists right now:
Phillip Walker
The Mannish Boys
Jackie Payne/Steve Edmondson Band
Rod Piazza & the Mighty Flyers
then for some good independent folks try
Dave Gross
Gina Sicilia
ZZ Hill Jr.
Jimmy Duck Holmes
Michael Hawkeye Herman
Bobby Rush
I also like Elvin Bishop's new release for Blind Pig "Booty Bumpin" on the commercial Blind Pig label, as well as John Nemeth's "Magic Touch" on the same label

had to addng my 2 cents with regard to the B.B. King commentary because of the fact that that guy or woman is obviously no longer a guitar participant. alongside with an quite few others at the same time with Muddy Waters and T-Bone Walker, B.B. King very almost invented electric powered guitar blues taking part in and has been credited with being a super impact by ability of everybody from chum guy to Stevie Ray to Eric Clapton to Michael Bloomfield and everybody in between. His early Nineteen Fifties stuff is very useful, and he can nevertheless play the sh*t out of a guitar at an age while maximum everybody is retired or lifeless! P.S. so a procedures as no longer being waiting to sing and play on the comparable time, that commentary proves the answerer's lack of information-His guitar has a attractiveness for a reason, "Lucille" and B.B. take turns "making a song"

Putting aside blues influenced rock like the Black Keys, I'd say the North Mississippi Allstars are one of the best to make it big recently.
