Im travelling across america next month, but id like to stay in Niagara Falls, Canada for 1 night - Do i need a visa as a UK resident?

No. We are part of the commonwealth. UK citizens don't require visas.

Canada and Mexico are part of America I assume your were talking about the United States of America First it is very difficult to rent a car if you are under 25 so good luck with that. Gas (petrel) is about $2. a gallon and cars here get about 20 + miles per gallon it is illegal to sleep in your car and motels are around $50+ a night but if you get a tent and sleeping bag you can stay at camping grounds cheaper. but you are looking at a minimum of $100 a day just to live and travel I would guess if you ate fast food and bought snacks at supermarkets probably about $25 a day I do not think you can renew your visitors visa by hopping into Canada it is good for specific dates only hit all the typical tourist things like NY City Las Vegas the Alamo in Texas - Malibu Beach CA - Mount Rushmore ND it costs event to do the museums here at least $10 if not $25 but the LACA in Los Angeles CA is totally worth is the Met in NY and so on.
