Drink DASANI water. It worked for me. Hang upside down. Put red cotton on your forehead. Usually you get them when you eat without a beverage. Fun Facts: Males get more hiccups then Females. Hiccups usually occur in the night and the morning. People who live in California experience hiccups the most since the air is so dry causing it to go in your lungs.

I've never had a problem with hiccups because there's something I can do with my throat and it stops it in seconds after the first one takes me by surprise, sort of like a swallowing movement but not quite, dunno how to explain it but I know hiccups are caused by a lack of air, if you breathe in deeply for a bit it'll go away or you can drink some water, the reason a glass of water works is because of the oxygen in the water.

I guarantee this works! Hold your nose and get a glass of water, with your nose held firmly take at least 10 little swallows of water. Your ears may pop a little, but you won't have the hiccoughs any more!

I broke my nose when I was little and breathed a little funny so I got them all the time until I learned this cure I was often miserable.

Foolproof way is to hold your breath, when you feel a hiccup coming swallow and continue to hold your breath, repeat a few times. You may have 1 or 2 residual hiccups but after that-all gone. Works for everyone I know.

What always works for me is a big glass of water and a spoon of sugar. Put the sugar in your mouth and drink the water really fast, as much as you can, use the water to wash down the sugar. I know sounds wired but it always works.

Hiccups can be cured by that really strong urge to breath.

Holding your breath works, but if you exhale first, the cure is faster.

it's hiccups, and you can:
1) swallow a teaspoon of sugar
2) hold your nose and drink an entire glass of water w/o stopping to take a breath.

good luck, hiccups are SO annoying!
