i just noticed that my right armpit is very sore.. it hurts when i raise my arm and when i put pressure on it ..its more my lower armpit. it is only on one side and i havent really done anything where injury could have occured. the lymph nodes in my neck and other armpit arent swolen or anything so i dont know why it is feeling like this. i am a 15 year old girl ..and ive lately been experiancing the syptoms associated with PMS.. could this be part of pms? or should i be concearned it is something more serious.. thanks (:

the lower part of your armpit is techincally part of your breast. weird, i know. so yes, it could definately be part of pms. also, some deoderants can irritate your skin and make you sore. wait a few days, take some tylenol, and don't worry. if you feel a lump don't get concerned because cysts can often develop right before your period but they go away after a cycle or 2. if you are very concerned go see a doctor, but time sounds like the best medicine at this point.

It's probably not PMS, and if it was anything "serious" your lymph nodes would probably be swollen.

Most likely you just have muscle damage. Can you think of anything you've done in the last week involving either lifting, or heavy use of that arm? All you need is to give a good punch or lift a heavy box or help push a car or something to strain the muscle.

PMS is the most likely culprit.

Because you are asking here, I'm guessing that you are scared it's cancer.

Breast cancer is rare in someone your age and it is rarely painful in the early stages, so this is extremely unlikely.

Monitor it for a while, and see if it cycles with your PMS, which is what I expect, but if it continues, see a Dr.

I think you should check with planned parenthood. Immediately. I found breast cancer in my lymph nodes under my arm. It's unlikely that is what your problem is, but get it checked

i agree with the first answer....lymph nodes are not sore or tender for any length of time........it should be checked out....it would not have anything to do with pms.
