And the skin is still red, plus there are little bumps where the skin is red. There aren't a lot, but they're still there. My skin is pretty sensitive, so I hope it's because of that. Is it? How long will it take for the bumps to go away?

I have sensitive skin too and when this happens, it takes about 3-4 days for the redness and bumps to go away. Just avoid applying make-up on there and it'll be fine. The next time you wax, ask the person to use the sensitive formula because it reduces the pain and redness.

They will go away in about 2 days. I have sensitive skin as well, and mine go away in about 2 days.

Also, just make sure the place where you get them done takes every precaution and measure to make sure that you are comfortable afterwards. Here are some things to look for:

1. The place should be using TISSUE PAPER or CLOTH strips to wax with. If they use just plain printer paper, it will not come off cleanly and it will hurt.

2. They use some sort of moisturizer or cream right after waxing

3. They hold pressure to the brow AS SOON AS they pull off the strip. This is more impotant than you might think.

4. The wax is good and hot when it is applied to your skin.

5. They ask you before hand how thick you want your brows. If they don't ask you, you could wind up looking like Bushman.

If you are not going to a salon to have them done, I would STRONGLY recommend doing so. If you can't, then just follow these instructions as closely as possible.

well, not sure about the bumps but when i got my eyebrows waxed for the first time my skin was red all day.
:]
so the red is normal since you have sensitive skin.

it is because you have sensitive skin - the redness should go away in 24-48 hours, the bumps in 3-4 days - use witch hazel on it,and avoid heavy make up.

It usually happens the first few times. It's like super exfoliating so it will make you break out. Apply a cool wash cloth and leave it alone. It will go away in a day or two.

the red is normal for your first time, there really isnt much to do except the usual. but next time, when your waxer person is done, have them put cooling gel or powder, and as you keep waxing, your skin will get used to it and will settle.

just wash your eyebrows with cold water, every 2 hours. Try putting lotion on them. OR you can also try putting ice on them. That helped for me.. hope it helps for you :)
