I asked this guy out a WEEK ago, but we both already had plans for the weekend.... just wanted to put him on notice that I'd like to go out with him. He said "Yea :) I'll have to let you know when" Now... a week later... he hasn't mentioned it. Because he hasn't mentioned hanging out this weekend, is he ever going to ask me to hang out? Am I not being patient enough? Could I have to wait a few weeks for him to ask?

PS. He only has work driving privileges because of a recent DUI. Therefore, he wouldn't be able to pick me up.

Give him a little while longer to see if he'll come around but don't seem too available yourself. If he doesn't come to you in a week or so, drop him. There are plenty of guys who would treat you way better.

Well, you don't have to harass him about it, but a friendly, "Hey, so how about dinner this weekend?..." isn't exactly out of line either. If he still appears indisposed, then just let it be and move on. Barring the existence of some serious insecurity issues, he should eventually come to you if he's still interested...

he was trying to tell you in a nice way that hes just not in to you. that does not make you or him a bad person. there's lots of guys out there waiting for some one to ask them out. find one that can come pick you up.you don't want to be driving every time you go out do you?

I hope he never is free to go out with you. Patience isn't what you need. You need some common sense! There's got to be hundreds of better guys to go out with than one who can't pick you up because he's got a DUI offense. Can you say "LOSER" !!

First off. Try texting him. Just say "hi" or "what's up?". If he responds start a conversation and then after a little chit chat ask what he's doing this weekend. If he has plans then don't go any further. If not - ask if he wanted to hang out. Don't make it so official. Make it casual.

Lastly, can you pick him up? If not - I dunno how that will work.

It takes men longer to think about asking to go out, because he may have taken too long it is like he has to ask you sll over again. Give it another week or so, if he does not out and ask he might be waiting on you to ask him, he may be scared to ask you, or he dont like you, and this is a way to leave you alone that way.

Umm I think that the line "Yea, I will have to let you know when..." is guy code for, "I am not interested but afraid to tell you that" or it could be guy code for "you are very forward & I dont know how to handke a girl making the first move".

Stay available to him but dont make it so obvious you want to go out with him. Guys are natural hunters so let him chase you just a little.

There must be better men to wait for. Are you kidding? Don't hold your breath. Go find a nice guy and be glad this one didn't call you. Yuck.
